If your sticking with the maroon for the first border I like #2 the best.

I tried to respond to the post about what color we liked best and it just puts the message at the end. How can you respond to somebody's post on their post??

Carol Doak has an excellent class on Craftsy on paper-piecing. In this class, she has a lesson about matching points in your block. It is done with basting stitches before you do the final "short" stitches. Her class has really helped me.

I think my problems came in stitching the units together. My seams were a tiny bit too big and that caused my block to be smaller. I'm certainly learning. I decided to do this quilt to work on my piecing skills.

Here's my Block 1 - finally! I really thought I was being careful with the piecing, but I still had to redo some of it.

Very pretty, adding the focus fabric in month 2 adds so much to the overall halo effect.

So glad you like it, too. It was part of Laura Heine's Cowboys and Cowgirls collection that I've been saving for several years, just waiting for the right pattern to come along. This BOM seemed to be it!

Love it, I have that same fabric! I was going to use it but could not make it work with what I have.

What a shame! It would have been fun to see how alike or different they would have been.
