I agree the middle is lovely. First one is a bit too large and third one a bit "pale and subdued".
Your star looks great!!
I made Stars for a new Day and am thinking of making at least the centre star for this one and turning it into a lap quilt of sorts instead.
Will post a pic when I get around to it.
