I am so sorry Rosemary what a problem. Would communicating by skype give some comfort.

The GP can prescribe small oxygen cylinders for travelling if he doesn't mind having them with him :?

Prayer for all! I wrote two detailed responses for the prayer requests listed today and both times I lost internet connection. So, I'm thinking I must have said something the goo Lord didn't want me to say! So just know that I care about you all and am praying!

You are stronger than you know.

So sorry for Clara's family. Heart breaking to lose a child.

              God's blessings for everyone.

Keeping you all in prayer. It's truly heartbreaking to learn of so much loss and sickness--broken hearts for loved ones. "Cast your cares on Him for He cares for you". Praying for peace, hope, healing and the nearness of God.
                Blessings,
                Jane

Hadn't though of Skype for FIL & his sister - thanks for the reminder/idea, we have managed to get them once or twice on Skype to us, but FIL is a bit of a luddite. Also, even with the oxygen cylinders he just doesn't have the necessary strength that travelling entails (He hates th fact that they are now necessary), and my MIL is unsteady on her legs as well.

Prayers for Clara, Mama2TNT, and Terri's family. Also for less recent requests. Blessings to all and strength from the Lord.

I have been absent from the forum for a while now. Right after my son had his open heart surgery, my youngest sister was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. It was caught early, but as a liver transplant recipient, her immune system was suppressed and the cancer became very rampant very fast. She passed away 9/17 with her sisters, her daughter and her husband at her side. She had been working on a quilt the day before and my niece noted in the obituary that she died with her home made thimble still in place. She instructed the funeral home to leave it right where it was! I am back at work, life is going on, but there is a hole where something is missing. It means a lot to me to know all of you are out there for me.

Brenda, Please accept my deepest sympathy. Quilters always find ways to process these things. Eventually, they fill up the empty spaces by investing their love in something that matters deeply. I will pray that happens for you.
