If you remember Duffy--here is a message I just saw on Facebook--she is in need of our support and prayers:

Dear friends, Lots of, lots of thanks for all the lovely words, prayers, candles and support you give to Sam my son and me.
You cannot belief how much I appreciate it. It gives me everyday strength to keep the hoop up in a situation that is not hopeful to be positive about it. But it helps a great deal. Thanks again!
My husband is still fighting for his life. After the biopsy he had an aneurism. They had to operate again and did put a tube in his head to keep the pressure under control. On Monday if the pressure is constant for a few days, they will try to wake him up and then they can see how much damage the bleeding has coast. He lost his speech already. But yesterday the pressure was still unstable. The tumor is as big as his left brain half. There is no room left for any swelling. An operation on the tumor is not possible anymore and the chances for using chemo are very, very small.
So you see it is very hard to be positive, but I know I have good friends who keep me on the positive side of all of this. I feel the love you send me and Sam. Thanks.

I'm negligent for not checking in here now and then.........when I'm at my machine or with needle in hand, I'm 'not of this world!' I know you understand.

It's been a quiet thread lately and I guess that's good......either too busy to post, or nothing serious going on for most of us.

I've had an eventful spring with friends, illness, surgeries, loss of spouses. I guess when one is in one's 70th year, friends are mostly of the same age bracket and most of our original warranties are wearing out! I'm finally having some cement shot into my compression vertebrae fracture tomorrow. Falling down stairs at daughters during Christmas was a dumb thing, especially since I wasn't holding the railing........that is what makes it dumb! But this should be an easy fix from all reports.

Having fun just sewing, mostly in scrappy ways.............which is certainly more cost effective than new fabric! ha

Lynn, I hope and pray this will be an effective remedy for your compression fractures. I'd read about this years ago when my mother was still with us who had lost 6 inches due to her arthritis. Hope we hear a good, pain-free report from you soon !

I am praying for Duffy and her family. What a terrible thing to have to bear.
Lynn, praying for you also. Hope your surgery goes well and you are out of pain. Wouldn't it be wonderful to be pain free and mobile! You know you are getting up in age when you start being wishful of a child's mobility. I won't even mention the energy part.

Post this morning was that Duffy's husband died last night; he never awoke from the coma. God was merciful but Duffy and her son Sam need our prayers.
