wOW.... 41 pages to this post and it is still going storng...

Not quilting too hot and I had to bake for a fundraiser bake sale. Same one I was going to donate my quilt too but I hate it and I do not think it is worthy... so unless lightening strikes and I can come up with a winner of an idea to fix the stupid thing.... I am not quilting at this time.

    Bummer.

Hot here in Oregon too; but working a little on quilting a lap throw that was inspired by a book from my quilt book club. The quilt will be "revealed" at the end of the month. It is good that our group has no rules, so at whatever state it is in, is what will be shown.

Got 13.5 letters done on my Rosary quilt today. A lot of that was while I was at work. While the show is going on, I can sew if we don't have people in the lobby. Then I took my DD's car to get the oil changed and washed and got the rest of the letters done. Tonight, I'm going to figure out how big to make the wedding quilt and get started on that. Plus I have a signature quilt that I need to figure out how to finish since two of the squares have gone missing.

wow it has been a while since this thread was started.... SEEMS like whenever I get off tract and want to restart I go back to trying to establish the habit of small daily sewing.... that usually jump starts a marathon .... I think I am there now.

So I am going to post here again ...

. Lets see how far I get...

This past year was productive ... I finished several quilts..yes they were smaller but the point is they are done... they are off my UFO / wish lists. My UFO LIST is still 20 projects because I added several more.... but some of them are going to go to the charity quilters. I am only going to work on projects I love.

I discovered about myself I love/ the one day workshops / mystery quilts/ and usually start the pattern...making the block... but I am okay with just making one block. I see no need to make an entire quilt unless I like the finished project. Since my signature colors are brights with white or black I tend to stick with my stash for these projects and I am growing a number of orphan blocks that are going to end up in a sampler.

          Working on now: (see blog)

4 patch kaleidoscope / hip to be square setting

I am starting a quilt for my hubby..... autumn leaves.... all over and framed by a 2 inch 9 patch made from the fabrics used in leaves. The original pattern was from an Australian magazine but I have been seeing the quilt made up in quilt shows. Beautiful pattern. I plan to do some split leaf raw edge applique.

I am cataloging my UFO and deciding which ones I will finish and which ones I will donate.

let us see how far I get

I've been turning the back bedroom into my sewing room. Yesterday I actually took some time and got some quilt sandwiches ready for a class on wed. Today, I plan to sew!!! Sandi in FL

While recovering from Hip Replacement, I bound 2 quilts. They were all finished except for the binding. NOW they are DONE.
Have hand quilted on a couple of quilts. (Still have a ways to go on them.) Since I can only quilt in Black on Black for a short time.
I also keep working on my DJ quilt.

I got 7 letters done on my quilt last night. Plus, I got 51 letters done on our vacation trip two weeks ago. I've got to get working on the wedding quilt.

I recently finished all my quilts except the BOM and then had to take a loooong business trip. Just got back this weekend and have spent almost the whole day trying to work out my next project. I have been really unhappy with my drawings so far, so I think tomorrow I'll put the drawing aside and make the February and March applique BOM blocks...but I am SO happy to be home again. I think I just need to keep trying and I'll finally get the drawings right.

Last October, I made a goal to finish one project a month over the next year. Some projects were as large as twin size quilt and some were as small as a 18x20" wall hanging. Over half of them were in my WIP (Works in Progress) pile. It feels great to look at my ready to be quilted pile and see just one project instead of four! I'm presently working on three projects. One is a full size quilt in the quilting stage--have borders and a little in the sashing to go; a crib quilt ready for the borders--I'm searching for the right fabric and a WIP that I'm adding sashing to the crumb blocks. I started the last quilt over a year ago and even though the blocks don't excite me much now; I am looking forward to having a quilt to snuggle under when I go to retreats. . .let's see if it gets big enough!!! I haven't decided what my goals are going to be over the next year although, I have made a tentative list!

I did get some quilting fun yesterday. I added some embellishments to a runner...that will go on a wall, not a table eventually. I will try posting a pic later, have to show it to guild tonite as it was last years ongoing project with a group. Sandi in FL

Been a while since I posted here.... since then I finished two quilt tops.... working on a third. Not sure of how I will have them quilted...one I might do myself.

Experimenting with several other quilt blocks ... using all kind of TQS techniques...
