I took a class with Becky Goldsmith back in 2002. She is the one who set me on my applique path :cheer:
Can't wait to see the BOM she's designed for us!

Last Christmas my son asked for something "he could pull out every year at Christmas" from me. I thought of this quilt pattern right away (It is Alex Anderson's Holiday Lights pattern. I bought it 6 or 7 years ago and it was on my "bucket list") and knew it was THE ONE! This is the double/queen size. I began in January, working on it mostly at my quilt group's regular meetings on Thursdays. I plan to give it to him and his wife right after Thanksgiving and am especially glad it's done with plenty of time to spare!

Wendy’s, I love these quilts, especially the one with the Owl. I made some Mug Rugs using the instructions from Ann’s site: https://community.annthegran.com/post/2016/05/20/fancy-mug-rugs
Carol has many great projects, I’m now working on a few Jigsaw Puzzles that are great as gifts for children. https://community.annthegran.com/author/carol

Interesting projects in the link, thank you. I love the sock monkeys, they're hilarious.

Hey folks I just discovered Mistyfuse, wow it's so good for doing foliage on a picture quilt. I shall be trying it in other ways. I've had it 2 years!

Tell us more about it, Wendy. I’ve had some that was a “secret sister” gift in my quilt group and didn’t quite know a good project to use it on.

I sprinkled snippets of fabric and scrim onto a piece of the Mistyfuse and ironed it using applique sheet above and below. Then I could tear off pieces that I used in the tree and roadside.
It was also soft so will be easy to hand sew through so I'll use it for another project with applique and hand embroidery.
Let me know how you get on with it.

Wendy, very clever use of Mistyfuse. I like your little scene. Very cute.

We are just back from a 3 week adventure to the Baltic Sea. Lots of fun.

I'm hoping to get into my sewing room today. I have a new idea for the border of Positive Energy. And a bunch of other stuff that I'd like to work on.

Hope all is well with you all... geneva

This was requested by my 'hippy girl'. I couldn’t find the colors that she wanted, so I spent the first several days getting 12 yards of cloth dyed. I really wonder if these kids ever think there’s something I can’t accomplish!!! Now my little Munchkin Molly thinks that her bed needs something similar. She'll be 8 on December 7th, so it might be a quilt for her dolls with less movement?!
