Nancy, I read your blog posts, but am unable to make a comment. I hope you are feeling better and you have heat in your home!
Glad to see you back. We don't want to lose our very own Houston winner! :cheer:
My mom did very well with the lumbar puncture. The results are amazing. It's like she has come out from under a cloud. Thanks for the good wishes Wendy.
What a fun and motley group we are. Imagine, if there was no TQS. We wouldn't even know each other. I have learned so much from each of you. In fact, I made a mug rug top today and will use Wendy's "whizzing around the outside edge" technique tomorrow after it is quilted. That term always makes me smile.
Well, good evening everyone! genevaGeneva

Geneva I'm glad to hear that your mom had such great results. That must feel wonderful for her.
Ritzy those babies are so cute and it is a good thing that they posted here how they did because the pictures were SO nice and big to view on those links you posted.
I am enjoying seeing everyone's exchanges and work. Thanks for posting them.Lyndhurst, Ohio USA - East Side Suburb of Cleveland, Ohio

I really liked the teal colored scarf that Nancy showed on her blog. Nancy, if it isn't real difficult, could I get the instructions from you?
And I sent out this quilt to my BIL. His health isn't good and with all the treatments he's been going through I hope a hug from his outlaw of a sister will bring him some warmth.
And I've been working on a One Block Wonder
These hexies are actually at half hexie stage so I will be able to sew without y seams. I'm not sure if this will be the final layout. I have 29 more hexies to make for a total of 114. That's for the first attempt. I may need to get creative if this is going to become the size I was going for.
And I'm off to the sewing room again.Lyndhurst, Ohio USA - East Side Suburb of Cleveland, Ohio

Annie, I am in awe of your patience. I'm also working on a hexie quilt. My friendship group suggested doing a 60 degree triangle pattern. I had some border fabric from my guild's charity quilts that would work for a kaleidoscope look, but there was only about two yards and could only cut and piece about seven large hexies. That was enough - too much tedious cutting of individual triangles. Glad for the experience though. So I truly admire your efforts in cutting all those pieces!

Nancy - Sorry to hear you were ill over the holidays but glad to hear you had a fun time visiting your family. Hopefully you've heard from your heating guy!
Luann - The quilt for your BIL looks great, I like your One Block Wonder quilt too!
Geneva - Glad to hear your Mom's feeling better too.

Oh Annie, I just love you OBW! Your arrangement is going to be beautiful!
Today... well, I'm going to do either hard yoga or the usual yoga and then I hope to piece and piece and piece until my 9 Swoon blocks have little stars in the sashings! #prayingIgetbrains :lol:Jules~

Luanne--I like your one block wonder but I doubt I would have the patience to even cut it out. Although--it would make a great leader/ender project. Guess I need to get back to sewing to even consider it.
Thank you ladies for your comments on our newest additions. I will sure be glad when they get enough hair to look like they have hair.
