The thing is, I had 'tried out' several months of this quilt before deciding that the clues and the pattern would work for a MQ. I think I did about 5 months in one weekend, so be encouraged (to myself and you all), you can do it!

I did finish my March clue the other day. I tried to post a picture, but I am not very techy. I can't figure out how to get it from my phone to the computer. I did import it, but can't find it now. I do have some mp3 music I didn't have before.  Oh well DSIL will be here tomorrow and he will help me. Hope you all have a quilty weekend.

I have purchased a wonderful batik for my final border on my mystery quilt. I will keep you posted!

Catching up - all my log cabins are done and sliver trimmed to (nearly) perfection hmy: and economy squares just need their last corners adding - I made life easier for my self by cutting the first set of triangles 4.5" instead of 4.25" and trimmed them down too - oh the extravagance of fabric waste, how will I be able to cope!said in a very melodramatic voice :P

Rosemary, I finally gave myself permission to cut big and trim. I decided this was preferable to the agony of various sized blocks that made me grimace (and say naughty things), thereby causing my face to look years older than it should. Plus, using up all the fabric creates the need to buy more fabric! See, a win win all around. I look years younger hmy: and get to buy more fabric. What more can we want from life?

Can't wait to see your quilt with it's additions.

Woo hoo! I've caught up :woohoo: and it has now been officially named too, by Izzy it is now the mystery 'Pass the Parcel' quilt, because we don't know how many borders there are (just like my 'pass the parcel' parcels which have a gazillion layers on them - well 25-30+)

this picture is rubbish for colour, but it is 10:30pm.

Here is my March Clue with the blocks arranged around the Mystery Quilt

Here is a closeup of the blocks.

I hope this works. I think I have finally figured out how to post from where the phone downloaded my pictures.

Well, I seem to have lost the first picture. I will try again.

It finally worked! The stepper works great for reaching the higher areas on the design wall.

                          Cathy and Rosemary,

Your quilts are wonderful! I love seeing how the different colorways make each quilt special.

Nice work girls! I love the various combinations and how they turn out.

BTW a bit of a pause in my sewing room these days as the transition is made from my 'old' Singer to my "new Janome, which my DH bought for me this week. And it's not even my birthday. I can't wait to try it out. It's the Horizon 8200 model. I think he loves me a lot! :silly: :silly: :silly: :silly: Happy dance.
