      Fab quilt, rosemary.
Made 108 HST's and 98 squares tonight, and the strips are cut as well, not sure if I'll manage any more before I leave, gotta do some other stuff too...

And this was earlier today, on my way home from a very quick overnight visit in Lenk.

      Have a great week ...

Lotti, Beautiful patches. Beautiful photos. Thanks for all the inspiration your photos provide. You are so generous with your talent!

Beautiful pictures Lotti. I would love to visit there someday. Sadly, money, time, and age will probably prevent it, so I am doubly thankful for the beautiful pictures.

Last night I put the border on last month's part. My quilt was measuring almost an Inch too large. I cut the border an inch bigger then called for and when I pinned it on I was able to not have to add that extra inch. I was afraid if I made it larger my blocks for this month would not fit. It all looks fine with the measurements that were listed in the instructions. Hope this makes sense. I also cut the squares out for the blocks. Today I will do the hsts and piece the blocks.

My Bernina is scheduled for a check-up on the 21st so I want to get as much sewn before then. It will be there about a week. Shop is over an hour away so I have to plan when I can take it and pick it up. I will really miss it. I do have a few old machines around that I can use, but I am really attached to the Bernina.

i love having these borders between the rows. so practical to "fix" things. we can add a bit thicker - or a bit skinnier, depending on where we ended up with the last row. my kind of fix!

Working up to cutting strips for the log cabins in clue 5 - how many 1 1/4" strips do I need to cut (approximately) of each fabric?

Not good! That is a lot of 'air sewing'.

Not me, Barb, but Terrie. I am still working up to cutting for the log cabins.

Terrie, can you apply those 14 non sewn log cabin blocks to "practice".

I hate when that happens. Maybe you could look at it as you "get to" enjoy working on your mystery quilt even more than the rest of us. B)
