That would really 'wind them up'!!!! bet they would be onto their suppliers that same day. As for Alex and Ricky quilts, I am going for 15 any bids on that?

http://www.equilter.com has some of the range. But last time I looked they got the name wrong. I found it under 'whispers'. There is a list of retailers on the P&B site. And if all fails we'll just have to ask Alex.

Thanks to a very generous friend, I actually have one FQ of it (a dark green one), and it's gorgeous: excellent quality fabric and very versatile print in strong colours.

Oh Lynn!!! That's not on!!! Tell them the importance of you having a job and being employed will have to take second place!!

No, real bummer, I was looking forward to meeting up. Never mind but huge good luck with the interview.

What's next on the agenda in the quilt world?

Thanks ladies, will be spending most this week's evenings preparing for interview, I only hope that I am really up for the job and not just there for fill in! If I find out otherwise, will be really mad that missed you all at Malvern!
Still, on a good note, but some lovely fabric at lqs on sat when went to cancel seat on coach. Dont know what to do with it yet, but it is a misty yellowy leafy batik, sound awful, but you need to see it, I counldn't resist it!!!! At moment, finishing quilting border on summer quilt, two and a bit down, 1 and 3/4 left to go!!!! what about you girls?
Lynn, feeling fat as went to buy interview suit and had to get size larger than thought, hadn't realised how much weight had put on!!!! ops:

I keep buying fabrics but I've discovered something really weird. I'm scared to cut into it!!!!

I get colours out and lay them down and re arrange them but as yet I haven't really committed to anything much. I think it's because I don't want to waste any until I'm absolutely sure of what I'm doing with it. I lost so much fabric in the past I could have stocked a shop and it's taking time to recoup, every scrap is precious!!!

There are a few websites that are rather grateful I've re discovered my passion I think ops: Can't wait to get to Malvern though :P

AND.... I've just discovered I want to be Cynthia England when I grow up!!!!!!!! ops: ops:

I've seen what is sitting in front of you in your avi!!! No wonder you need an extra size!!! (Looks yummy actually and I've been on a diet for 4 months  )

LOL. that pic was taken at Rick Stein's cookery school couple of years ago, just after I had come out of hosp with heart attack (taken in on xmas day!), so dh took me to stay in Padstow as a 'glad you are alive' treat!!!! Fab food, but weight come from new coffee machine bought after we came back from ROME last summer, decided that real coffee with milk and three sugars was nicer than black tea with no sugar!!!!!! so seven months on, wooops, :? ops:  Go on, treat yourself and make something with your fabric, just choose a pattern and go for it, it gets easier each time you do it!

                        Patti if you google
(whisperings, fabric) you get a list of places who have the fabrics.

Margarita in Auburn, CA who got some at "The Virginia Quilter"

Good idea Margarita to put the fabric like that. I did Google and got a little but alot of other stuff. Another TQS member gave me a good lead too. Tonite or tomorrow hoping to figure out what I want to order and how much and get that coming ASAP.

Lyn thanks for the link to quilterstv, I really enjoyed it. Good luck at your interview, as for clothes you could always cut the size labels out they are only a 'rough' guide to go by and different shops can have totally different sizes of garments all labeled the same size  believe me clothes are cut for 'average' shape women, and as an alterations tailoress I haven't met an 'average' shape women yet

Thanks for the kind words Rosemary! I wouldn't mind the extra pounds if they were on the top (so to speak! :? ) but it sits right around the middle Have taken a break from lesson planning for the night, spent 5 hours and still not finished!!!! and have to take brousers up tomorrow night! as only ones in my size were long, and I am a shorty!!!!
Glad you like the link, also, try quiltinaday.com eleanor Burns site, she has videos on that and some cool tips.
Lynn in sunny cheddar, but chilly now at 11.30 at night !!!!!

Don't get me started on altering clothes!! I've just lost 3.5 stone in weight and, having cleared out my wardrobe to only leave stuff that fits, I still have sizes from 10 to 16. How illogical is that. And I'm becoming pretty good at altering a few favorite pieces.

It was Quilters TV that led me on to finding TQS in the first place. Some good stuff but the download can be a bit slow. And I've watched Quilt in a day but I find I can't put up with Eleanor Burns for too long. :? ops: But seeing as our UK contribution is about zilch, I'm glad there are some things out there!
