I didn't even bother asking because I wanted the cheapest. Staples has an online printing service at http://www.staples.com that explains the media that they accept for printing
so they may give you a quote, & look for the online specials, too.

Thanks Sue. Problem now solved. My DD in Toronto Secretary 's husband will do my big manual for $100. Sold. It certainly pays to shop around. Enough said.

Finally got V6 loaded and up and running. V6 wasn't the problem, it was my security software that kept shutting down the HASP Device Manager. Finally had to dump it and install a new one. Luckily it was during the refund period so I got my money back.

        Can't wait to get started!

I got my manuals (the printer needed to split it into 2 volumes) on Saturday. Wow, what a read! Libbi, start printing; it is going to take you quite awhile. I am glad I got the colour as it is really easy to follow.

Took 2 days to print out manual on my HP--not a solid 2 days, but some hours over 2 days. Didn't use up all the ink nor a ream of paper. My poor printer got a bit confused :? doing a manual double sided job and a couple of paper jams but we got there in the end. It's in a binder. I really like some of the new features especially the improved color film. But it is still early days. No instructions or courses here yet. It appears that the European dealers are in Steckborn as I type getting trained.

PS. With all the help from TQS and the Yahoo V6 group, I got V6 installed with minimum problems. But McAfee security would not let the HASP manager start and verify the sercurity device. :x I had to start it manually from the Services menu. I had to ask for a refund from McAfee and install another security program. But to my amazement McAfee still was hidden deep and I had to get another extraction program to remove it entirely  and turn control back to Windows Firewall (Windows 7). Works a treat now.

Lesson 7 on auto applique is wrong, you need to "convert to bitmap" before "move to the embroidery canvas". If you get there & it doesn't work, let me know.

There is a great forum on groups.yahoo.com called BerninaV6Software.

It seems that there are quite a few very knowledgeable (why does that spelling look funny?), nice, funny people who are very willing to give prompt answers to issues.

                              You do have to "join".

The only thing frustrating is that the search doesn't appear to be working, but if you click on one message, all the answers are attached at the bottom of the screen.

I've even solved some problems I didn't know I had! (my sounds turned off & I didn't even realize it).

Yes Sue the V6 group is very helpful. There are also groups for the various Bernina machines. I belong to 2 for the 830 and I've found that the topics overlap. Sometimes I think that my head is going to burst with all the info online. It would help if Yahoo search would work.
