Hi all! Been a busy weekend - altho dh took me out to eat Friday night and mmmmm was that good. We were such piggies we even split a fried ice cream for dessert! Went with a couple of friends to VIP at one lqs yesterday morning - lots of new fun stuff out - so much cool embroidery things, but I don't have an embroidery machine. I would love to have one - maybe once these weddings are done, I can start saving for one. Stopped at another lqs on the way home to pick up my BOM block and have that put together. I got a lap quilt layered yesterday afternoon too, caught up laundry and did a little picking up. After talking to dd2 this noon, dh decided to go pick her up for spring break this evening instead of tomorrow. She had to work at the newspaper yesterday and this afternoon, but the cafeteria and most of the other food places closed Friday. Now even the vending machines are off and the poor kid is swiping food from her roommate - which we'll replace. It's snow there tho and dh said the last 35 miles were not fun - lots of vehicles in the ditch - she's 3 hours from us - in good weather and good traffic around the Twin Cities. I've been working on cleaning out files this afternoon. Got thru the "major purchases" file and it's now half the size it was. Guess I don't need the receipts for items we no longer have! I was talking to my mom at the time and we were having a good laugh at some of them - like the random Arby's receipt - must have been stuck to another one. I still have a drawer of Christmas cards, one of old bank statements and one of 5 years of cross stitich magazines to clean out. I'd like to find a home for the magazines. Boy the shredder is gonna be humming. It really does feel good to purge the things that need to be purged. I have a lot of "stuff" needing to be purged too and that's coming along slowly.
