    First time at Houston?

It seems there are several of us going to Houston for the first time. I don't know about all of you,
but I am so excited I can't stop thinking about it.
I need to share this "can't wait till November" attitude with some people who might care. (My work friends are so sick of me chatting on about "quilting this and quilting that".) I need to jump up and down and hug some one who cares. Tell me you care! Please!
So...tell me what are your plans? Is it all about classes for you? Or seeing the quilts? Or the vendors?
I am looking forward to meeting all of you.
If you are a pro at Houston and have some hints and suggestions...I'm listening...
    Talk to you soon,
    Barbara

No matter how many days you plan to be at the festival, please make an effort to get to the TQS booth at 1:00 each day for a brief "Meet & Greet" and photo op!!
Make and wear a TQS badge with your screen name so you will be recognized! Here is a link to the pattern:
    learn/projects/

and here are some badges from last year: http://daily-blog/133-slideshows/142...oth-in-houston

Also, if you are in town Thursday night and want to join the TQS dinner group, be sure to send Wanda an e-mail and get on the reservation list. More info about that is here:

Margo...Thanks for the link to make the TQS name badges. Now I don't have to search the Project page to get the info. The link to see what members made for last year's show brought me back to today's blog page???
And I checked off emailing Wanda off my list...did that!
      Thanks again Margo!

Thank you again, Margo. That slide show should get all of us first timers motivated and start working on our TQS badges...(only 73 days till the show)

How appropriate was this? I was to look for the smilebox with badges just to have a look at others as I have been working on mine this afternoon. I'm not going to Houston but on Saturday I'll attend the Danish Quilt Association as they celebrate 25 years and I'm going to see Ricky as he is giving seminars there. I look forward to this event.

This will be my first time if we actually get there. I mainly want to meet up with all my friends with TQS. I am excited about the baby coming right now. After I know he is safe, I will get excited about Houston.

                  Barbara,
Be prepared to be overwhelmed! Take the time to go up upstairs and look for the shipping booth. You can UPS your purchases home. Very handy!

Buy vendor catalog and study it at night and make a list of must see booths. Any demo you want to see head for that booth first so you can get up close! Shop first. The weekend is extremely crowded and it is nearly impossible to get into a booth. A lot of the booths are very small.

If you want to think on something before buying, write down the booth number! You think you will remember where it is, but you won't. Experience talking, here. LOL

Even if you just sit down in the dining area and just have a sip of water. Take a break.

You are having a good time finding out about what to do before Houston.

As requested here is my humble badge. It's printed on Kona Cotton.
