Sherry and anyone else in the track of Gustav,
I pray for your safety and well being. One can hope that damage will be minimal, but am worried for you that you could have a repeat of Hurricane Katrina. Let's pray that Gustav weakens! Take care, keep safe and if you can let us know how you are doing.

Sherry, this web site tells dosages for Benadryl for cats and dogs, but has your vet discussed it with you? I realize the timing is off, being a holiday weekend and all, but be cautious.

I'll add my prayers for all who may be in harm's way with the advent of Gustav. We prayed in small groups this morning in church and I know many prayers were lifted for the levees to hold. Our church has sent several teams to help out post-Katrina.

Sherry and others -- my thoughts are with you. I have never been through one of those and don't want to. I admire you and will pray for your safety. My DS got out of Biloxi just in time. Please keep us posted.

Hello Friends! We're here at the hotel. So far so good. My hard workin' DH is asleep (kinda) for the first time in about 20 hours. Poor guy! Evidently he's been running around like a maniac helping get things under control around here. The room is very nice. We just had a great meal. The associate's dining room is open 24 hours for unlimited dining enjoyment. The food is very good and is free to employees and guests. Right now it's very cloudy and there is some wind and some rain. The later it gets the more we'll experience the effects. However the predictions keep placing it further west. Good for us, horrendous (sp) for Louisiana. I took some pics from our room and the fire escape. I'll post them when we get home and get everything squared away. Listening to DH snoring is making me droopy. Maybe I should nap. More later!

It appears that the storm is going to stay well east of us. We are watching it closely, of course, in case it veers our way. Our daughter and her S.O. are here for the holiday weekend and are to fly home early Tuesday morning from Corpus Christi to Houston to Atlanta, GA if the weather allows. Will be keeping all unused appendages crossed for everyone in the path of the storm. One good thing, the storm is moving quite fast, so isn't increasing in strength as much as it would if it stayed over the warm water for a longer period.

                                Hi Pat and Sherry,

I am keeping both of you and your families in my prayers. It looks awful right now when I turned on the TV. Hopefully, it will pass quickly and now do too much damage. I'm also praying for everyone who is in Gustav's path. Mary Anne in AZ
