There are many options for communications on TQS - here are a few:
    • Using the TQS website – In the “Congratulations Partners” email, I have added the TQS Screen names in parenthesis, Wendy Grande (grandedesign). The name in () is the name you use for sending messages or adding friends.
    • From the Connect Page – on the right side look for Community – Quick Search. Enter the TQS screen name in the box and select SEARCH. The result will show a picture (if she added one) and you can send her a message or Add as a Friend.
    • From the IMQE Group Page – you can search for your partner in Members. Select Members and a list will come up. There are a lot of us now, so look through the pages (the names are in alphabetical order), find your partner and select, send message. In the box that appears you can type and send your message.
The emails you receive from the IMQE Group page, like when someone joins, are notifications. No action is required on your part. Let me know if you have more questions! Cheers Wendy

This is going to be so much fun but have to admit I am intimidated by my partners skills. She own's her own quilt shop and quilts beautifully on her long arm

But Terriann that doesn't mean she'll find it easy working small. Bet she's really pleased she can make you a quilt in her style instead of concentrating on the shop and working for customers and probably worrying you'll have high expectations of her because of the shop and longarm. Bet she's interesting to chat to.

          Hi Lorchen
Sally Collins has written a very good book called Small Scale Quiltmaking. I look at the photos and feel inadequate.

Just testing if this thread is broken as well.

While the forum is struggling if anyone wants to chat you can join the facebook group 'friends of IMQE'. Send me or Lorchen a message and we'll add you

Is it mandatory or optional to submit your quilt in January if you participate in IMQE?

This is something you and your partner can decide on. We are interested in the Experience The quilts that are selected for the show will be those that best represent the experience the quilters shared. It is not intended to be a contest or judged based on quilting skills. We recognize quilters of all levels are a part of the International Miniature Quilt Exchange. Hope that answers your question!

                            Cheers Wendy

Hello Everyone - Just a note to let you know we now have 216 Active Partners! I also have 5 quilters waiting to get International partners. We have 4 Partners that share Quilting as a common language and thanks to Google Translate they are doing great. We have 22 Countries participating with Italy in the lead with 49 Quilters, followed by the UK with 38 and Canada with 37, Germany has 33 and Australia is at 23. We have 45 States represented and are still hoping to get representation from Alaska, Hawaii, North Dakota, Rhode Island and West Virginia. Pass the word ~ share with your Quilting Friends the fun you are having with your IMQE partner! Remember our goal is to get 300 partners!

                                Thanks, Sue!

I'm feeling 'inadequate' looking at most quilts by others, but it doesn't stop me!
