You all are soooooooooo funny. I'm glad so 'see' ya'll here since email notifications seem to have stopped when there is a new posting. oh, the cooking stories. Another one...one of us tried to make creamed onions with finger flavoring at Thanksgiving, so are thankful we don't have to cook this Christmas!

I'm off shortly to read the blogs ya'll have referenced in the past 3 pages of posts

The cardinal rug is so pretty, nice grid quilting, too! Glad you like your ewe, Wendy! I had a lot of fun making it!

Jane, I sure hope you and yours feel lots better right now! Don't you hate being sick on a day off? Better on a work day

Merry Christmas to all, I hope the days are filled with warmth, laughter, family and friends.

I am getting email postings re Mug Rugs and etc but did not receive notification re Friday's newsletter. I finally found it by clicking on a newletter heading in a menu bar somewhere. Not on this page though. Maybe there are poltergeists in the website.

Susan, your ewe is precious--sorry I missed it earlier! I just started reading about it and that is how I realized I had missed it. ops: I especially like how the green and blue background makes the body of the ewe pop! Very nicely done! Enjoy it, Wendy!

Susan, a little protein in your onion soup?
Marilyn--I truly can sympathize. Go for the peanut brittle! Love the stuff but have never made it.

I still can't find that post. I think I know the one you are talking about. I thought maybe it was last year. I guess I have to do a better job of titles on my blogs--then I could actually find what I am looking for.

So, a while back I told you my daughter said she wanted to make mug rugs as Christmas gifts. I was really surprized at her sense of design, balance and color. She, unfortunately doesn't believe me. Here are three that she has completed:

Thanks all for your nice comments on Norma's muggie. It was fun to make--the cardinal was an applique' from an OESD embroidery design, a silhouette Christmas collection from a couple of years ago.

Ritzy, your daughter really has it all! I hope she gets the bug because she appears to have some real talent there! like her mom!

Ritzy, Is this DD#1 or DD#2? No one ever believes in their own talents but she really does have a wonderful eye for color and balance. I particularly like the one with the multi-colored spheres although all 3 are pretty spectacular.

Ritzy, Your daughter has her own style but I definitely see your influence in her compositions. Color palette versy similar to yours but just a bit different to make it all her own. Nice work.

Ritzy, your daughter's mug rugs are definitely talented work. Please encourage her to go on. She already has her own "language".
Maybe she will believe in her talents when so many of us are telling her how good she is.
