Oh my, Christmas came early this year. The most beautiful muggie ever! And Santa (maybe that is Lorchen!) brought presents to hang and treats to drink too. Don't know how you could give up this wonderful Christmas, hand cross stitched mug rug but rest assured I'll treaure this piece for holidays to come! Thank you so much, Lorchen.

You are really lucky, Jane. It's a beautiful Christmas rug. And on the back I even found text in Danish  . Good job, Lorchen.

It has been quiet here for some time. I have sent all mine. Lois, yours was in my last batch and I'm getting nervous that you haven't had it (or maybe you just don't like it), but please tell me if it reached you. If not I must make you another one.

You're right Norma, it has been very quiet here lately
I have one ready for the post and hope to get back to the sewing room this week to make some more. I'm thinking Christmas trees If I get them sent soon they should arrive before the big day. I was hoping to get to them today but I promised my son I would clean his room
          I may be some time....................

Now that we're back in Wickenburg I was able to take pictures of the two mug rugs that arrived here this past spring--one from Norma and one from Connie. I believe I posted pictures here in the Forum then, but did just get them posted to the Show and Tell this afternoon. Think I'm caught up now with getting pictures posted. If you sent me one and it's not been uploaded yet, please let me know. Really enjoy this group of wonderful quilters.

Lorchen! That is truly a wonderful Christmas muggie!

I am a bit concerned because I thought BJ said her mug rug to me was in the post, but I have not received it yet. :?

Norma, my apologies as I thought I had uploaded your mug rug photo to the show & tell, ops: ops: it is done now. Is there any other one I have not done?

Jane, I posted your mug rug some time ago, but now you have put it in the Show & Tell, I removed mine from there.

Now we are in it. I sent one for Tony a long time ago and it's not posted. I think it has not been posted in this thread either, That's why I did not put it in Show & Tell. Tony, if you read this and want me to post it, I'll do it.

It's so nice to watch all of the wonderful ruggies there

Absolutely OK with me. It's easy to get caught up with other things.
By the way I was looking at the photos your daughter posted (whispering thread!). They are beautiful

Jane, I'm glad that your Santa made it across the big pond - more likely to have used a plane than a sleigh. I wish I could have made a Santa for every loungs lizard. I only had time for two, but, as you can see, he is waving at everybody.

Norma, I had noticed the Danish on the fabric and knew it was perfect for the back.

I still have to post pictures of a simply amaaaaazing mug rug. Unfortunately I have had a tough time in school, after a 12-year-old boy (trying not to call him names, many unprintable ones would describe him) who is not special needs, but got some help from me in an ICT lesson because he was stuck and couldn't do the work, played a nasty prank on me. He asked me to check that he got the work finally right. I had to put head phones on because there was sound involved. Without me knowing he had changed the music to a constant high pitch sound and cranked up all settings to maximum. I got a blast of that right into my ears, resulting in temporary deafness, pain and problems with balance. The doctor put me to medication (side effect: tiredness - perfect in my job, rolling eyes). I'm now off the tablets. My hearing and my balance are back to normal. The little sh*t admitted that he did it on purpose. All official paperwork has been filed in case there are long-term effects that can't be identified right now. Senior management dealt with the boy and his parents, and I should consider framing the grovelling letter of apology. I'm still very tired, but should be back to normal in a few days.

Oh Lorchen, poor you, what a nasty piece of work that child is.  I hope he realises what the consequences of doing something like that involves and got punished enough to make sure he would never do anything like that again. I also hope health wise that there are no long-term effects later on. Lots of hugs sent your way.

Oh Lorchan! that is dreadful. There are times when I wish we could bring back the cane - but perhaps since we cannot physically touch the little blighter, he ought to be forced to listen in to what he put you through instead. And to think that the 'bleeding hearts brigade' will try and make 'excuses' for his deliberate nastyness with a 'he didn't really mean it, poor thing' really makes you sick too.
I do hope that you are back to normal soon - I presume that you have been off work with the problems he has caused you.

I hope you feel better soon. It's the emotional impact that such an incident has on us that we have difficulty dealing with. My sympathy, Lorchen.

Huh? You have to apologize? No way!
Here in the US, the Council for Exception Children has identified sociopathic children as epidemic...identifying as early as kindergarten, and no one knows how to help them. It's a new area for graduate school studies. It's why I retired. I'm to old to deal.

I'm embarrassed to say that I can't find the Mug Rugs Show and Tell. Help! Life is getting in the way of my 2nd list...apologies to those folks, but I've not forgotten anyone. ops:

I read it that Lorchan received the grovelling letter of apology, not sent it.

As for the show & tell got to 'Quilt Gallery', then directly under the purple bar you want the second from the right 'Show & Tell', then scroll down, it is the third one down.
