Glad Terrie is home and on the mend.

Matthew, there are all sorts of things in life that are on a "must do timetable." Mug rugs aren't. That's one of the reasons they are so fun to make.

        Enjoy the journey!

My, hasn't it been quiet here this week! Only 3 pages on the CW thread, 3 pages on the Prayer list & 2 1/2 pages here! Very sorry to hear that Terrie got held up in hospital and glad to hear that she has escaped back home again.

I received a beauty of a mug rug from Nancy friday week ago, and had another one on my doorstep waiting for me this evening from Geneva. I will try & get scans fo them to post in the next couple of days or so.

Whilst the big storms were crossing this country on Monday the family & I were visiting friends in Somerset near Taunton. The house they are in is an old stone built thatched roof of a place nearish the bottom of a very heavily wooded narrow valley, which really didn't show any bad after effects. But then being so far to the west it hadn't really picked up the speeds that it got up too as it travelled across the country. By the way Lorna, I thoroughly recommend that you put Somerset on your list of places to visit, it is another beautiful part of the country and if you get to the farmer's market at Cullhampton (Wednesdays) there is a pork producer who makes the most divine bacon & black pudding & sausages!

Glad you got the mug rug Rosemary. And glad you survived the storms.

I'd like to taste the sausages and bacon. I'll leave the black pudding for someone else!

                      Take care,

Thanks, Rosemary! We've been studying our map with pins in all the places we've been and that part is pretty empty. We are heading to Bristol on 8 Nov for our next 3 day weekend. Somersest will definitely be in future plans.

Something just flew over the pond to me! Geneva, thank you so much for such a lovely mug rug. When Geneva and I met up in Ireland last year I gave her a little roll of Irish wool fabrics tied up with green woolen yarn and look what she did with it. Beautiful wool patches with green wool couching in between. Wish I had thought to do that.

Rita, What a thoughtful gift! And Geneva, what a lovely response. It makes me smile.
