Now it's time to show you what I got from Rita.
First a little teaser to show the beautiful card she made. Rita, thank you for the little calendar. Love the photos.

Next see the wonderful eagle. Rita, you just use those Pitt pens in a fantastic way. He is gorgeous.

and last: look at the back. Thank you so much, Rita

I agree Lottie. Everyone is excelling their selves. Terrific mug rugs from Wendy to Susan, Rita to Norma and Lorchen to Marilyn.

After the great tutorial from Norma, maybe Rita would like to give us one on how she uses the pens and her straight stitching?

I am so glad you like your mug rug Norma. I found him in the Book of Kells and thought he would look good on a mug rug. The card was inspired by the fuchsia which is in bloom all along the hedgerows here along with the montbretia - so beautiful. My internet is so poor where I have been all this week that I have hardly been able to access the forum at all so I have not had a chance to look at your tutorial but I will next week.

Marilyn, what beautiful stars you got from Lorchen, and goodies too!

Wendy, that's a fabulous mug rug you made for Susan.

I love fuchsias too. I have around 10 just outside my bathroom window. I enjoy looking at them. They have flowers in different sizes which makes it interesting, at least in my opinion

I was the lucky recipient of 2 beautiful muggies last week. Sorry I did not get to post them until now.
Thank you Ritzy and Lorchen. Both are just beautiful. I was the fortunate one to get a second mug rug from Lorchen.

Vicki, I'm glad you like the fabric on the back. It's a 'rescue' one. I was at a workshop last year and somebody with more money than sense was going to toss it in the bin. I 'adopted' the piece and was very pleased when I found a home for it.

The unique fabric is the dark blue one on the front because I marbled that myself. Not sure what my grandmother would have said if she found out that I cut up one of her tablecloths for the marbling session. But I know she would very much approve of any needlework I do because she taught me.

Lorchen, yes the fabric on the back is a great find. Their loss my gain. As for your stiching, it is beautiful. I do not do much by hand my embroidery is by machine. And, the blue fabric on the front. I think your grandmother would be very proud of they way you showcased her tablecloth. It gives me ideas for all the old linen I have and don't know what to do with it. Thank you for letting me keep the second muggie!
