I also was thinking of doing some couching on this but at this point, I am not sure anyone would even want it. So, can I have some feedback? And, if there is someone who likes it, I will finish it and send it to them.

Please ignore the lint and extra fibers on it.
Ritzy, when I saw your picture I immediately saw the lights of an psychedelic amusement park at night, you know the kind they have on the roller coasters...way cool! If you hadn't already sent mine I'd be claiming this one as my own!

Ditto on the mug rugs. Ritzy, your multi-colored thread is way cool!

Rita, there should be beaucoup butterflies at Limbania's in mid-summer, hummingbirds, too. If we go glamping, we might want to go up way up in the mountains where it's cooler.

On the other hand, we could have the TQS jet take us up to northern Idaho where it's spectacular in the summer. Maybe we could talk MontanaGramma into inviting us to glamp at her house

I'm happy to say that I've got some mug rugs on the design wall. We lost power for no see-able reason today for 1 1/2 hours which killed sewing today. I have the binding, label and sleeve to go and I'm DONE the bird Quilt. It will be a relief to have it done.

Another great mug rug Lois! Beautiful colours again.

I will bring some wild Irish Salmon to put on the b-b-q. And a little something to wash it down with. And I think seeing as it is Limbania's birthday I will bring along a bottle of Midleton (75 year old oak-aged whiskey.)

Gorgeous mug rugs ladies. Most definitely the makers and the receivers got to be so proud.

Ritzy, I agree too, a series is in order.

Yep! Gets pretty hot here during the summer. 40° to 45°C but, there's the pool that we can enjoy in the morning and later in the afternoon when it gets shady, and the AC works really good inside the house. We can always move furniture out of the family room and do the glamping there. Also the Grand Canyon is just a couple of hours away from here so we can meet there too. Idaho and Montana sound great also, Susan.

Marilyn, over here! Me, me, me. I'd like to get on the list too, please.

I know nobody has got a mug rug from me, yet ops: but, you have my word, you'll get it eventually .

Last, but not least. Got this on the mail this week!!!

Thanks a lot Lotti!!! Hope you're enjoying your vacation.

Wow! Sounds awesome, Rita. Do we have to wait until my birthday?  DH can get us some wild Alaskan king crab. We have had it boiled or baked in the oven. We have a Big Green Egg grill http://www.biggreenegg.com/ and have baked bread in it so, the king crab should turn out good too.

Alright, Rosemary, you've got to explain this one! "Pork Product" sounds too much like hot dogs to me, and no idea what a barby is, unless you meant "Barbie", as in the doll> So why throw hot dogs at a Barbie doll? Eccentric Brits, I'd say!! Would make for a strange party

Lovely Mug Rug, Jane. Like your stitching, Connie!
Pork product = sausages, belly pork, gammon steaks, pork chops, or any other bits of piggy-wiggy you fancy roasting over a charcoal fire yum, yum, yum!

Better not forget to get in some marshmallows too 8)

                            Connie, love the butterfly

Ritzy - love your quilting, any more like that? you could develop the theme

Having a bit of slow going on one at the moment, much as I love the handle of the egyptian cotton, 2 layers of it is hard work for hand stitching.... better get back to planning machine stitching

It might be a sacrilege to the whiskey, but would a shot go well in a nice cup of Dutch Chocolate coffee from Baltimore Coffee and Tea Company? I'll bring the coffee for breakfast and maybe for around the campfire if we can add a shot or two

I make a lovely deep-dish apple pie from my mother's recipe, so I'll bring it for dessert. Perhaps I should make 2, just to be safe...

BTW, I just noticed that we have over 1,000 posts on this thread!
