You just need to not fill your cup up to the top (how many times have I said that to my kids! ) -and put a paper napkin underneath.

Rita, you're not only very talented music-wise and art-wise, but you're a good mom too. True!

I think you have fallen well short of the goal, Lois. You will have to work harder! So far you've only been able to produce beautiful works of art. I'm not sure you're capable of creating something needing a coffee stain or two.

That's very kind of you Terrie - I am not sure my kids would agree! My son is easy to teach because he is willing to learn. My daughter is another kettle of fish entirely. Do you remember being 18 and knowing it all? I sure do.

Nancy, are you perchance a first born?

Well, I DO remember getting married at 18 and that didn't last too long. Then, when my kids were 18-20 they knew everything. Now they have kids and are asking me a few questions (guardedly..), so I guess it depends on their age, and temperament.

Well, I keep thinking of things I could do as a mug rug--the problem--I want to embellish or turn the work so it would be portrait instead of horizonal. Guess I need to just keep thinking. The older my kids get--the smarter they think I am. That is when they are not thinking I am senile.
