Ladies, I think we have hit our stride...it's raining mug rugs! In the mail today I received this contemporary beauty from Robyn, all the way from Australia! I love it! (Please excuse the poor photography, but I'm taking the picture at my hotel room in PADUCAH!!!)

Wot no biscuits  I love it Robyn

More fabulous ones from Rita and Renata that is smashing well done.

It's pouring mug rugs. I've got another 2 made but want to show them to my quilt group first and the one I've had from Lois. Showed one of mine to my husband and he said it's awful like something made at playschool  Men! who wants it

Renata your mug rug for Nancy is beautiful. I too want to know what you used as the trim around the binding please?

Robyn what a great mug rug for Connie. Love the design and the colours and the extra goodies!

Connie, are you going to give us a running commentary from Paducah? Please?

Lois I am glad you like your mug rug.

Did anyone find the incey wincey shamrocks on it? You definitely need the magnifying glass!

Lois, I found the shamrocks! What a perfect mug rug from Ireland! Great job Rita!

What beautiful mug rugs, Rita and Robyn. Adore the shamrocks front and center, love the red modern twist on Robyn's!

What I used on between the piping and the binding was Spangle, a glitter yarn--I like it for couching as well as bobbin work. The color seemed just right for Nancy-s mug rug (done in Sewbatik fabrics because I know she likes them).

It's a challenge. I wonder if Rita put them on other Mug Rugs. It would be quite easy to miss them!

Actually I can't remember Lois! I think I got at least one shamrock onto everybody's mug rug - but not necessarily on the front.

I've got little appliqued shamrocks (which I wouldn't fancy machining myself!) and some painted on tidgies too.

I hope you are enjoying Paducah and will tell us all about it with photos as well   .

My mug rugs are at the office... I have the stitched on shamrock, but will inspect it for the tiny little ones tomorrow
I just know that it's beautiful and perfect just the way it is!

I just love posting a reply, and thinking I hit submit, only to have it disappear.

As I was thinking  (a mistake?) of all the lively lounge lizards leaving lovely works of art all around the world. Such a joy to see!

I'm relieved that my rug ideas have jelled in my brain, just not completed. My Quilt Alliance project is past the what if stage, too, which is a relief. Now, I just have to stay off the Internet and away from staring out the window at the bird feeders.

Any bird feeders out there? I had a lovely male rose-breasted grosbeak yesterday, and a male purple finch when I got up this morning, both rare birds for me

Tidgies? It that like a thinga-ma-gig?

Except for the obvious shamrocks on Lois' mug rug, I cannot see any 'little tiny hidden ones'. Yet.
