I have been lurking in the shadows of this thread since it's beginning. You ladies never cease to amaze me! And, I think of you every morning when I sit my coffee cup down on the cold granite counter top while (whilst, to you Posy) I am making my husband lunch for work. I always consider joining the exchange, but worry that I will fall short on commitment of my time. So, I am still 'considering!'

I do have one small mug rug, that won a first place in Miniature Quilts at our show last September, that I will share with you, though.

Glad you like the mug rug Nancy. Actually it is a "twin" of the one I sent to Norma. Both of your mug rugs were made together. I wanted to try out an easy kaleidoscope block I saw in Quilters Newsletter. It was quite easy!

I must say, I love my #22 couching foot from Bernina. It makes couching so easy! And I got those leaves in France somewhere in a stationary store.

It was a pleasure to work on the twins. There's not been a lot of time for sewing given our moving situation. Had to pack up most of my stuff and we drove a truck up to Eastern WA where it is all in storage up there. But I kept all my batiks here. (Over 360 of them!) And some trims and beads. It was nice to play with fabric and design. The fabrics I used are all commercial batiks.

                    Enjoy!

That's a gorgeous little masterpiece Dawn

You can't fall short, we (I) love sharing mug rugs and it's about having something made for you not expertise. Please join in, I'll happily send you one when I get myself in gear again. I think I only owe a couple I use it to try new techniques or colours

Wow Dawn. I concur with previously stated opinions. That is a beautiful mug rug and don't think I could ever bring myself to let it get near any food or beverage!

Thank you all, for your wonderful comments on my little 'mug rug!' I have carefully used it a couple of times, but had to make sure the bottom of the mug was clean. Thank you too, for encouraging me to join in. When I eventually have maybe half a dozen made up (in the future!) I will speak up, and then begin the exchange. I do need a running start! ops:
