It's really common here-abouts to use lots of different "top " stitches to hold down applique.

Like that, but I don't see it happening - oh well! I suspect that he won't be too bothered how it is stitched down, but I will need to consider washability if it ends up as a duvet cover, or if it is just a bed cover, it will have to be ultra light, as currently we have a 4.5tog duvet on the bed & I have Caught red handed folded in half on my side to keep me warm enough whilst he is roasting

On the other hand I am the opposite! We don't even have the heat on in our room. He has the extra blanket and I am kicking off covers in the night.

It's just me (and a dog and two cats....), but at this stage in life I'm covers on, covers off, covers on, covers off, etc. You get the idea.

Sounds familiar Nancy and the cats don't help, they gain weight at night

How interesting to get to know how we use these quilts we make. On, off, folded double. Rosemary, Maybe you should use a wool batt for your side and cotton for his.

I hope February hasn't gone already or I have missed my b'day - and we are planning on going to the Rebel Smokehouse in Beverley for it, which I am really looking forward to. There are some great posters on the walls like 'No smoking in here unless you have 4 trotters' and 'Did I just roll my eyes out aloud?'

I would imagine that Maureen doesn't know which end of her is up by now with all those Chinese Whispers quilts and their statements, not to mention all the other things she has to do for LLQS. But look on the bright side Maureen, you have gained a month!
