MaryJo, What a gorgeous quilt! Yay, you're done!

Ritzy, others who are in the same boat as me and working hard at the very end to complete. Don't you love deadlines as motivators!? Come on we can do it! 2 more weeks! Let's get them done!

Maryjo that is another great quilt. and in the close-ups after admiring the stitching design the second thought is 'can I see one of mine?' and the third thought is Hey I've got one of those... and one of those..... etc.'

I'm binding! 8) now I had better go and check my write up!

          Good morneing SOTT's,
Ritzy, & Lorna I know you can do it, just keep that quilters positive mentality! Thank you to all for the positive comments and the quilting was done by a wonderful local longarmer who has help me with growing as a quilter. I do hope we all try to stay connected in spirit and contact as this chapter of our relationship wraps up. This has been a wonderful experience as we have encouraged, educated, shared and prayed together regarding quilting and our daily family life. What a wonderful way to enter the chapter called retirement! Now I need to begin my next AAQI quilt. Maybe some of you would like to join Clara Lawrence blog and help raise funds for research.

OK ladies. I have been working away all morning and my machine sounds like the motor is thinking about stopping. Please pray that it keeps working until I get this done. The other machine I have available to me is pretending it doesn't like the thread I am using so I can't use it. Thanks, ritzy

Does this classify as an "Oops!" or just as a "Houston, we have a problem!"

Keeping my toes crossed (as far as I am able) for you (I would cross my fingers, but I am sewing on my binding  )

Lois - I presume you have tried totally unthreading & re threaded your machine already, maybe a new needle just to humour it?

good luck ladies - touches wood (or head for convenience)

I'm still quilting and saying nice things to my machine every night to get me to the next day. Trying hard not to look at the calendar. Will finish in time. Will finish in time.

Thanks for the concern Rosemary! It was as easy as rethreading my machine and I am back in business. I still have a way to go to be working on the binding. Lois

I am running my embroidered labels for the 2 quilts I made with my hsts from both the SoTTT and the Batik exchange right now. Here is the tote bag I made with the last 288 hsts.

'Little Miss Fearful of Machine Quilting' decided to hand quilt her SOTTT quilts. One done. Fingers getting super tender, and where not tender, calloused! I will finish on time, I will finish on time.
Then I will practice machine quilting as I have taken a class on it, and I get Leah Day's newsletters all the time.

                              Barb,
What a great idea for a tote bag. I am going to make a similar one with all my left over hst from other projects and although different sizes, I'll fill in with squares to fit.
                              cheers

YEESS! quarter past midnight here and I've finished 8)

Now to find a pole long enough and some place to hang it for the photos  I think I can find a scrap of fabric  to make a temporary hanging sleeve and since I am the proud owner of a blind hemmer machine, I will use that to put on the hanging sleeve (and it will be easy to remove afterwards - he-he!)
