Jan, credit for the HST hats goes to Rosemary! community/my-profile/PosyP

She made them for Deb and Clara as "sorting hats" for the big SOTTT exchange! Aren't they wonderful!

          Good morning all,
I have just posted 3 more photos, my completed purple hearts, Fay and Jenny working on her pink quilt and the clown quilt with bright greens. Fay has just bought herself a new Husqvarna long arm quilting machine and she asked Jenny and myself to help her learn how to use it and did we have some fun. This has been an awesome project and we have to thank you for organising the exchange in the first place, it wouldn't have happened otherwise.
          Cheers,
          Louise

I don't know if she will do a tutorial, but there are a couple of close photos of the 2 hats on Rosemary's profile page.

Wow, Louise, that purple quilts is gorgeous but they all look lovely. I am sure the recipients will be so grateful for them.

fab, louise, although i am well past my purple stage (at one time everything i owned, wore, wanted, was purple - except that my hair was too dark to dye purple - and now that it would oh so easily take it - i've actually grown up - or have i?), that purple quilt would be a wonderful addition to my home - and i'm certain it will be very well appreciated wherever it goes
of course my first love is that clown - he is so so so fabulous - just makes me happy - and will make a lucky recipient very happy indeed
you're all doing such a great job

I have a special request. I would like pictures of your completed quilts. I am working on a special book. I want to preserve this special story. It is a wonderful journey that needs to be recorded. I am going to make a S.O.S. (Save are Stories) book. This Sisterhood/Brotherhood is absolutely amazing!!!! I would really appreciate it if you would send me a picture of your quilt and a little write up about it. Indicate if it is an original design or from a traditional pattern. Tell why you choose the pattern. And include any special story you want to tell about your quilt. I just love stories about quilts and it is so fun to share them with others!!!! I will compile all of them and anyone that would like a copy I would love to send one to you when it is finished. This little HST is so much more then two pieces for fabric sewn together. Anyone that would like to participate please let me know. My email address is mailto:jcm@iowatelecom.net. Thank you all so very much!!!!

This sounds like a great idea - will you be including resumes of Chapters 1,2 & 3 in it as well? and have you considered 'Print-on-Demand' book printing? Gregory Case recommended http://www.lulu.com in series 6, but personally I am currently working with http://www.blurb.com which I find easier, because they give you page templates and design setup alternatives to place your writing/pictures into, whereas Lulu just gives you a page sized template to be designed entirely by yourself.

Brilliant idea, Rosemary! That way, Carol only has to do one. If she made copies for every participant, she would have to quit her day job for a while!!

Carol, This is a great idea. I need something to keep me focused on this project. Summer fun and visitors, not to mention ADD, are keeping me from my sewing room. I have the top stitched together and beginning the applique but there are too many bubbles in the top and I am thinking some ripping is in order before I proceed. This is important but not today. My DD and DGS will arrive for a 10 day stay from NV. Lois B

Carol, I would love to participate but "life" keeps getting in the way of my sewing time these days! LOL! Not complaining! I love spending time with family! Anyway, I was wondering what kind of time frame you are thinking of since mine won't be finished for a while.
