    Louise,
Fabulous quilt! Yes, you used the pattern from the magazine, but you put your unique
design to it. Your colors & placement...to die for
    Thanks for sharing.

      Hi Lotti,
I must give credit where it is due, the design was from the Australian Patchwork & Quilting magazine, Bev Darby designer. I will download the page here for you.
This made me smile.. I was looking through my many magazines today for a quilt pattern for some hand applique.. going to be away from my sewing machine soon... and had just seen this very page in the magazine.. It is one of my favourites and absolutely love your purples!!

I worked on pressing my HSTs yesterday and brought the pressed ones down to work on tearing the papers while I watched TV last night. Well my shoulders started to tense us so I was putting them aside when I noticed my husband looking over at them with an interested look on his face. I said I was tired and jokingly asked if he wanted to work on them. Guess what?! He said "yes, I was going to ask if you wanted help." Wow! He sat and removed the paper from the rest. He stopped a couple of times and remarked on ones that he really liked.
I would have loved to take a picture and post but he said NO.
Our husbands are more interested than we realize.

Laura, I will add your name to one of my unsigned ones. So happy to have another one identified. Great to have another friend.

                  Hi All,
For those of you that gave information on the paper triangle of the HSTs, Thanks! It is such fun to look you up and see your quilts. I take time with each HST as I journal it into the block layout. Looking up all these profiles takes time, but what a quilt show I am having each day. I have used about 43 HSTs so far and have noticed some duplication (in names not fabrics). So I started a Excell file to put the names (or TQS tag) and my personal comments about quilts. If some of you have not uploaded any quilt pictures into your profile yet... please do this! It is very easy and such a joy for others to view.
The first block is posted in my TQS blog in case you want to see the first of many. Time to sew, see ya.

Have to share this story. I have been waiting patiently for my HST to arrive. Rather than going weekly to the post office to collect our mail, I have been making it a daily adventure to check the box, leaving disappointed that my HST did not yet arrive. Well, yesterday, I was driving home in traffic when my hubby called to say he was behind me by 10 minutes (we were planning what time to have dinner on the table); I said it was okay he was running behind as I was planning to go by the post office to see if THE package had arrived. He told me he'd go instead so I could get dinner going. Well . . . when he came home I had the pasta cooking, the sauce simmering -- all good because once I saw my package, I went crazy. Dinner was the last thing on my mind. I did more than a happy dance: I was bouncing and jumping up and down. As for hubby, he was grinning from ear to ear to see me so happy. But, seriously, it was a joy to see them all and to realize what we have done in this exchange. Thank you to Debbie and Clara for all your hard work and time. Thank you to the sorters as well.

Happy in Michigan- (And can you believe my kids listened while they ate to all the different places my HST had traveled from?)

I am all DONE!!! All my international and US packages are out-of-here and in the postal world. Not one remains in my house or car. My longarm is free. (They were being stored under it) Woo Hoo. I am free!!!!! Can you feel the happy dance? Wait. I'm going to do it again right now.

Think I'm going to play with my HSTs and look at them, iron them, snip them, name them... ok just play. Here's to seeing what we all can dream up. This was an adventure! An adventure that seems to be still going on in the forum world. COOL!

Extra huge thanks for my new buddy and partner Debbie and Margo. Hats off to all the sorters. And a hand over my heart to say how I'm touched by all the stories, ideas, helping and reaching out of our quilters. Quilters RULE! 8)

I also need to add a very important thanks to a partner that is unseen or heard in my quilting world. My hubby. He has allowed all this craziness into his home, let his woman go a little bonkers and even taken care of the kids while I went to Houston. Thanks hubby, YOU RULE TOO! 8)

Here's an extra thanks to all the spouses and partners out there who support us in our moments of crazy quilting. You know it makes us happy and we are happier because of it!

To all my international quilters. Just a note. These packages were sent Priority Mail Flat rate, so there shouldn't be a huge wait (hopefully). Give you an example. The postman estimated that Australia's package should get there in about 10-12 days. Anyone closer, hopefully it will be sooner than that.
