Any idea how many you guys intend to make? I want to make sure I send plenty to exchange with everyone, but not overwhelm. I'm going to a quilt show tomorrow and hope to find some pretty batiks there.

The second is Homespun Hearth. They are in Colorado. They have some of Edyta Sitar's Laundry Basket fabrics. If you order from Teressa, tell her that Virginia from Tennessee sent you. Their web address is http://www.homespunhearth.com.

        Hope that is helpful.

I love http://www.batiks.com. They have a great selection and last time I ordered the delivery was quick.

Ritzy, You might want to transfer the rules/ info to the first post in the thread. I had a hard time finding the info

            Ritzy,

Forgive me, but I need more details. In the big HST exchange, I could have made all 500 (or whatever amount) HST the same, and would have received that many DIFFERENT ones back. If we only have around 40 people in this exchange, then we may only get 40 different HST. So, my questions are 1)How many total HST should we make? and 2) Should I make more than one color/batik?

I plan on making 56 each of 3 different fabric combinations for a total of 168.

                  Annis,

That sounds like a good number! If we can all do 56 of three different fabric combos, we will have around 150 different HST fabric combos, if they get sorted that way. That's a doable number! Thanks!

If we all send the same amount we are sure to get a good combination of squares in return. I will try to make sure that everyone gets one from everyone involved in our small exchange. Right now that would mean 34 different squares. I am giving it until the 7th of Feb. then we will know exactly how many people we have involved and have a better idea. Then if you all want to do as Annis is doing--sending 56 of three different fabric combinations; then you would get three different blocks from each person involved. Does that make sense? I am sorry I can't be more exact as I have never done anything like this before. If anyone out there wants to give me some ideas--I am willing to take suggestions.

I'm in for the batik HST exchange please.

Suggestion - looks like you need to set a deadline for sign-ups for this exchange or, like the big exchange, you'll get sign-ups forever!!!

                        Also interested in strip exchange.

BTW - Ritzy, my hometown is Lowell, Indiana...if I remember correctly, that's near you, isn't it??

I'm in on this exchange too. Sent my email. I got the bug, at least I'm not organizing this one.

Good luck Ritzy. We are here if you need us. I'm sure Margo and Debbie would help too.

Hey Margo, how can I take the long message on page five and put it on the first page also? Do I have to just start a new thread?
