    Cute houses.

Hey guys. I'm here. Things are going to rough for me for a bit, but sometimes having something consistent to do makes you feel normal.

We had the bonfire on Saturday and it turned out better than expected. The kids really opened up about some tough feelings and it also made aware of the ones that are really struggling. So a great asset to the parents too. I've got a kid on facebook that Stephen was helping out with suicide issues. That one is a really delicate situation. She is opening up to me. Actually more like pouring out to me. It's really tough. She is getting me her therapists info so I can share our conversations.

Quilters keep amazing me. I went to the mailbox on Saturday and received a handful of hearts. They have brought me a lot of comfort. Thanks guys.

Now I need to get busy healing me. I might have to push myself and get busy quilting until I don't have to push myself anymore.

Basically I'm back, because I need to be and because I just can't stay away. Thanks for covering for me.

Glad to see you back, Clara. The events at the bonfire might have been really cathartic for some and you and others will be able to do a ton of good in big and small ways for youngsters who open up. Please take care of yourself...one day at a time... thinking about you and wishing positive thoughts--Renata

Hi Clara, glad you are back. But if you need to disappear again then we will take up the slack so don't worry. I have always thought of music as being a great healer and I now think of quilting that way too. I am so happy when I am sewing and I hope that getting back to quilting will give you some serenity.

Clara we are so glad to see you here! I will keep all the young people in your life in my prayers and you too. I have been working on another AAQI quilt and remembering you with each stitch. After 43 years of working with teens I know that what you are doing is very important since they often have a very difficult time processing their loss. Keep being there and take care of yourself too.

I registered my May quilt. It is a little different. I was feeling a little low, so I wanted to do something with more whimsy. Register # is 10,493.
Will start on the June one. The challenge is Halloween and I have a lot of Halloween fabrics. What will you make? Donate Today to AAQI

Aileen, I absolutely love this little quilt! I hope it did cheer you up because it just brought a smile to my face. I hadn't thought about doing a halloween or Christmas one, but I will now. Thanks for the nudge.
