    Churn Dash blocks

You told us to make a couple of churn dash blocks. Do I get extra points for over achieving?

Absolutely you get extra points. In fact all the points you want. Your blocks are lovely and can't wait to see the finished product.

They are lovely little blocks and your points are looking good. If you are joining us for the Long Time Gone quilt I'll show you again about pinning to keep those points in place and working small.

          Great job!

Don't hate me, but I couldn't stop once I got started. I liked doing the sashing in deep teal, similar to one on Pinterest (Barb Black?). Gives a pop of interest and adds some organization. Instead of the patchwork borders in the pattern I'm going to do 6-8" borders in a gray on gray print with appliqué flowers and leaves in all the colors in the quilt- see Jen Kingwell Midnight on Oasis and Green Tea quilts for ideas. I'm using fabric from my stash- more modern designs than my usual Kaffe and Tula. I feel I've hardly made a dent in my stash!

An afternoon of preparation = an evening of stitching.
Not 100% sure hand piecing the was the brightness of decisions

Susan street, Love the idea of hand piecing. It will be portable so you can work on it while others have to wait until
they can use their machines. Good Luck. Looking forward to seeing some blocks. HelenW
