You have forever to do the ironing surface and the cutting surface, but be aware that another do-able challenge will be posted on Friday, January 21, 2011!!

      No pressure!!

Thanks Margo. I like this idea. I have been avoiding my space as it is an unfinished basement. My husband is going to start finishing it and he wants me to move things, clean up, and put things away. I am starting right after I run the vacuum and I will watch a quilt show while I do it. Rotary cutter blade? I will sharpen mine. As for the ironing board, another task I have been meaning to tackle. Right on it! (after I finish the forum).

I did this at Christmas. As soon as I finished the Christmas sewing, I cleaned out everything looking for 3 missing seam rippers and the add-a-quarter ruler. Found the ruler and a ton of stuff I didn't know I was missing! Reorganized things, too. Now the whole space (which is not very much) is covered with a paper-piecing project that isn't going to be finished very soon.

Never did find the seam rippers, but I got another one for Christmas.

I keep my used dryer sheets for cleaning my iron. Just scrunch up the dryer sheet, give it a quick spritz and rub your hot iron over it. If there is a lot of gunk on your iron, lay the crumpled dryer sheet over the edge of the ironing board, give it a quick spritz with water and rub your hot iron against the edge.
