    I googled 19th century quilting designs & found some interesting info.
    It looks like the more intricate the piecing, the simpler the quilting, log cabin
    quilts with straight line grid work, for example.
    Antique quilts are fascinating. Wish we could hear their stories!

      Makes perfect sense really, is it the piecing or the quilting that is going to take centre stage? It is still a problem we have today.
