    Posted July Block

I have posted my July BOM. This is my bright block using fusible raw edge appliqué. This is a fun block. I'll post my needleturn block when it is finished. I do have a few pieces sewn down.

Judy, Beautiful! You are soooooo fast.

Also just noticed your June block - I love the colors. Both of your quilts are going to be stunning.

Judy, your background fabric reminds me of tutti-frutti ice cream! (I must be hungry!) Great block!

Judy, Love the block. It looks so bright and springy especially since mine is on dark fabric. I've finished fusing all the block but all I have appliqued down are all the stems and leaves. Hope to finish today or tomorrow. Going to get my 90 year old mother and take her to her favorite Memphis bar-b-que......Leonards. Camille

Somehow I just knew you would be first or among the first. Beautiful block. I still have to print my pattern out.

I'm joining Judy in the "done" column! My area got way too crowded, so I left off one stalk of the yellow berries.

I'm not too sure I am going to look forward to August's block, roses with baby breath  ! I looks like it is really gonna be "hard work"!

It's beautiful. I had to look at the pattern to see what stem you left off. I have almost finished with the stems and I can see where the area fills up fast.

I've posted a few pictures on my web page of how I've started preparing the stems for this block if anyone is interested!

Margo, thanks for the great tutorial on the bias stems! I learned a few new tricks!

Hey Maggie and Judy your blocks are beautiful........Maggie, thanks for the use of the eyelet stitch for the small circle......these machines today have so very many stitches that I have a tendency to not even think about using.....you can bet your life that I'll be using that stitch for mine........I've downloaded my pattern but haven't even started the process.......While I was waiting for the July block I went back to one in progress and am now working toward a stopping point on that one.....Hope everyone had a great 4th. We had rain during the day, but it was clear and beautiful for the fireworks.....Looks as if today is going to be HOT and HUMID in San Antonio.......Have a great day

I posted a few more tutorial photos today for the July block and also a video showing how I prepare the berries to get them ready to applique to the block. I made the video last month when Bridget so kindly explained how to do it. THANKS AGAIN, BRIDGET! However, my camera is not on speaking terms with my computer's software for editing, so what you see is what you get....no edits!! ops:

Apparently I did something wrong because only part of the video will play, but I'll leave it and hope that you can get the gist of what I am trying to show. :?
