That is awesome !!! I just love the colors.
I have a Berina 1800 and am afraid to free motion. You said you used the walking foot only on the circles. What foot did you use for the free motion?

Janet, you might want to check out Patsy Thompson's videos in her TQS Classroom! Lots of great info for free motion quilting.

          Hi Janet -

Bernina has several feet that are good for FMQ. I like #24 (open toe) and #9 (closed toe). I use the open toe most of the time because I like the visibility. I use the closed toe it there is hand stitching or something on the quilt that might catch on the foot, if the quilt has a lot of thick seams that I need to go over or if I'm using extra-thick batting and need the closed toe to smoosh it flatter for me. They also have clear plastic FMQ feet, but for me the view through the plastic distorts where the line is a bit. You should try several feet, if you can, to find the one(s) that work best for you.

Here is a close up of quilting done by Marilyn Lange. My goal for this coming year is to practice free motion so I can quilt my own quilts.
I used fabrics from my stash and really like all the bright colors inspired by this BOM.

It's beautiful Janet. You have inspired me to give it a go some time soon. I need to make two wedding quilts and I think this would be a lovely one for that. Thanks.

My blocks for Star Crazy are all pieced. Got to get it together. I am inspired but got to do Christmas stuff first.

Wow, Lorna! You're just knocking them out left and right! Can't wait to see this one, too!

Hope you get a chance to work on yours next year, Lois. It'd be nice that get that crossed off of your list. I still have 2 BOMs sitting around waiting for me to have time to work on them.

Woohoo! I finally got it posted. I don't think it liked the previous file name. You can't tell from the picture but this one I quilted in straight lines from one end to the other about 3/4 inch apart. I loved how it turned out...and so does my DGD.

                                Here's the detail photo.
