I love it, Ritzy! I really want to do the miniature but haven't even started the full sized on yet... but I'm saving the instructions!

I used half-square triangle papers that I had left over from the exchange and then cut them down was able to get four out of each paper and then could use the scraps for more. Otherwise, just piecing.

                            Just piecing for the B-C-D...
Actually, I used paper-piecing only for the Flying geese.

                              IRISH CHAIN BLOCK

This was a challenge to sew: if the seam is not exactly where it should be, it shows - especially on those little squares...

                              Block size (finished) 4" x 4"

                              Cutting directions:
                              Fabric # 18 : 12 squares 1" x 1"
                              Fabric # 22 : 4 strips 1" x 1-1/2"
                              4 strips 1" x 2-1/2"
                              4 strips 1" x 3-1/2"
                              Fabric #13: 1square 1-1/2" x 1-1/2"

                              After step 1, Unit should measure 1-1/2" X 2-1/2".
                              After Step 2, unit should measure 2-1/2" x 3-1/2".
                              After Step 3, unit should measure 3-1/2" x 3-1/2".
                              After Step 4, bloc should measure 4-1/2" x 4-1/2".

After the 3rd attempt, here is my block...with the help of paper-piecing...
