Whereas Lorchan & I are exhanging one shape for another  So that now I don't know what shape I am. A year ago on a bad day I just thought I was a pyramid (starting with narrow shoulders and just getting steadily wider as I went down  ) At least I don't get those feelings any more, now I have found my waist again

I suppose the advantages of circles & ovals is that you don't have any corners to mitre

Okay, I just finished something... I made mother/daughter carry-on bags for my DSIL and my niece when they travel. My sister-in-law's bag is ultra-suede and my niece's is brushed cotton. They're identical so I'm showing you the front on one and the back on the other. My father-in-law owned a popular Chinese restaurant in NYC near Broadway back in the 1950s frequented by the artistic/stage community of the day (was good enough to be reviewed by Craig Claiborne back then). My DSIL only had a few requests: a logo with the restaurant's name, specific dimensions for the bag, inner pockets so she wouldn't have to dig for cell phone and other things, not-too-long handles, zipper and waterproof lining. Sounds like a lot but it really isn't... except for I had to learn how to do everything including putting in a zipper which I'd never done. So glad it's over, I hope they like them. I have to admit, I learned a lot. Sorry I could not get the lining picture any better than it is. I guess I should brush the markings off the bags before I mail them...

Gorgeous bags, Renata! I'm told that 'grey' is the new black, so you are right on trend.

Renata, love your bags! How did you do the pieces that attach the handles? Is that satin stitching around the edges? Very pretty!

Renata, your bags are way cool. The kids will have so much fun when they are asked about where they got them. I just love dropping jaws.

A few pics of the 86 charity quilts that were made to go to an orphanage in Maracaibo, Venezuela.
The quilts go to Florida by USPS and then by a trading company, on boat to Venezuela.
One lady made 13 of the quilts. A total of fifteen people made the quilts.(I had time to made 2 )
The shipping monies were also donated. It was beautiful seeing all those quilts placed together.

Beverly- love your quilt, the design, colors are so playful and bright.

Renta- Your bags are lovely. Like how you finished where the handles are attached. My sister has made many bags. I'll share your idea.

Wow Terry that's a lot of quilts. I love seeing them laid out on the church benches. Our churches could do with quilts on the benches - just to keep people warm! What a great labour of love. Congratulations to all.

Beverly your quilt is so springy, lovely.
