Thanks everybody ! This pattern sure did go fast using Bonnie's methods of construction and it
really looks so different from quilt to quilt because of the individual color ways !
Lotti.....Make my mug rug big enough for a piece of chocolate along side, OK?

Lotti- That has already crossed my mind

one of my swappees asked me how large i wanted mine - my response:

if you come and visit me - what size mug-rug do you need for your coffee/tea cup/mug/wineglass and cookie/cake/fruit/nibbles...
because if/when you come - i plan to serve your refreshment on YOUR mug-rug!
          of course if i receive a dozen table-cloth sized mug-rugs - i'll have a problem with storage space :P
so please plan for the buffet to be served separately

yes ladies - i will definitely make them large enough to place cup/mug or glass as well as a little something to go with it!!!
does anyone object to getting a funny shape? rounded edges / not a proper rectangle / something a little different?
if yes - let me know

My first completed project this year! My first attempt at hand applique adapting Piece O Cake's pattern "My Whimsical Quilt Garden" to the size I needed. Great fun and not the last applique I will do.

That is sooo pretty, Beverley. Congratulations on getting it finished.

Beverly, that is delicious! So spring-like!

Lotti, I just like surprises, :P do what you like with the edges! As long as you love it!

i was just thinking that some people might like all of theirs to be the same shape/size for easy stackability... i mean - if we go completely bananas and end up with hundreds of mug-rugs this could matter...
but then - if we end up with loads - there are bound to be enough of each approximate size/shape to make different stacks for storage :P
don't mind me - i just need a little comic relief this afternoon - and a short break with you guys absolutely hits the spot :P :P :P

Beverly, your quilt looks awesome, hand-appliqued no less. That's impressive.

Oh, Beverly, that is so cool! I love it!! I also love hand applique, but don't seem to find the time to do much of it. As with everything, I have several projects in the works. ops: I can't wait to see what you do next!!

There are some people we should expect a funny shape from.

Nice work Beverly. I had to check & see which thread I was in.... I guess we are just all over the place.

Me thinks she means me... :P Well I'm lousy at squaring up quilts... Lousy at following directions, if you tell me to cut a square of 5 inches, more than likely ill be doing an oblong of 4x6 inches... And being of a funny shape, im obviously attracted to funny shapes - the more the merrier :P

I mean that if you want to make a square quilt, you certainly can do that. But, let's face it, we are a quirky bunch of lizards and it is possible for anyone to come up with something totally wild and different (on purpose...or not) No insults from here. After all, I myself am a funny shape
