Several of you have asked what 'Warhammer' is. How long have you got?
Here is the shortest version: Past generations played with tin soldiers, re-enacting historic battles, or creating their own. 'Warhammer' is a kind of modern day version. It is based on a fantasy world that is populated by different races (there is a 'Lord of the Rings' version). Players have 'armies' of figures and play against eachother, using quite complicated sets of rules and scenarios. This is not for the faint-hearted. It takes strategic planning, maths, high level reading skills, artistic ability, etc. Most of the boys (11-18) who come to the club are highly intelligent, but not very good at communicating. Through the game they blossom and all awkwardness is forgotten. They learn/practice new skills, or improve the ones they already have. Their overall confidence increases and they have something to look forward to if they generally don't like school a lot. It also keeps them safe one afternoon when otherwise they may roam the streets.
So, if anybody wants to come and join us Thursday afternoons, you are welcome. I even provide biscuits or sweets sometimes. From the edge of Sherwood Forest, home of Robin Hood

Maybe you should change your thoughts about it. Think and feel how easy this is going to be. Feel how happy you will both be when this contract comes. See how many books he will be selling in no time.
Try it. It doesn't hurt anybody.

Consider 'self-publishing' of some material that is not with a publisher right now. It might be a start, and you never know what it leads to.
Another idea: Joint venture with Mum. David writes a story and you make a quilt to go with it (or the other way round). I would definitely buy such a book.
