Okay, new projects. I was hired to make yet again, another memory quilt only this time using ties. The design is based on a stained glass she had made in honor of her late husband. The quilt has expanded into three and need to be done in time for Christmas. There are a lot of Bias edges involved and they will be gifts for her grandchildren. I also need to make a baby quilt for my SIL who is due in September. I don't think I will be seeing much sun this summer. Oh well, $$$$ will be nice. Cheryl

I had a Quilt Show committee meeting this morning. During the meeting I embroidered 5 and a half letters. And one was a capital letter. They are so much bigger than the rest.

I need to put dates and name on memory quilt, but can't decide the best way to do that. Kind of leaning towards paint, but have never done that before. I put a photo in my profile.

I'm quilting a project that I call spiderblocks and pinwheels. . .I "won" these blocks at two different BOM guild meetings and put them together. I started the process in October 2008 and earlier in June, I layered and basted the quilt. My goal is to work a little on it every day to finish it by September. . .course, I am also working on a baby quilt that should be finished at the end of July. . .it also is in the quilting phase.

Was working yesterday in an area that was quiet part of the time. So I got to listen to the Classical Guitar Competition finals and work on my embroidery. I got almost 15 letters done last night.

Spent the weekend working on my KOOL KALIDESCOPE quilt. Got the butts and wedgies on and sewing them together. Plan to applique over the mistake areas.... a small area that just did not match up on the edges.

Applique is my best friend for hiding mistakes.

Planning out a quilt for a friend's little girl. This will be fun to make.

I put this quickie summer quilt in the mail today for my grandchildren. The backing is flannel and it's already been washed and dried and is ready for a good snuggle!

Pam, I usually put the label on the bottom right corner so that if it is hanging in a show (obviously NOT THIS ONE!!! ) the corner can be turned back by a white glove attendant and the label is easily read.

It is also available as a paper panto.

Very Cute Quick quilt Margo. Visit to sis house went well. Figured out blocks fabrics and layout for retirement quilt. Now I have to sneak time in while Hubby is at work or sleeping and around working on memory quilts..
