Before work this morning, stitched two bargello blocks and have four more one seam away from being a block! Terry

I just about have the applique finished for the adoption quilt.

Once again I need to clean my sewing room. I swear there is a gremlin running around and messing it up. Though not quite as bad as the movie.

Good morning ladies, I have not sewn anything for me in a while, still trying to get to the binding of my friends quilt, it is on just have to hand stitch it. Today the ladies will be here to sew. My big machine is not happy, waiting for the man to call to help me fix her. He was just here thursday of last week for a cleaning, doesn't that figure  . You ladies have a good sew day. Debbie

I have finished the applique for the adoption quilt, and now planning the quilting. I am thinking on three hearts large med and small and alternating stippleing and some other fill-in quilting in the hearts. I'll post some photo's in my profile and let me know what you think.. Cheryl

My other thought was to leave the small and large heart without quilting. I'm not sure since there should even quilting for it to hang right. THe border was just going to be in the ditch. Cheryl

                    Hi LadyRags:

I guess your questions have been answered by the Nolting website. The frame I have is Nolting's 12' metal table. The main drawback to the midarm machines is the working area -- though the machine has a 17" throat, the actual area you can work on (front-to-back) is closer to 12". This makes for a bit of fiddling around, rolling the quilt forwards & backwards to quilt long vertical lines or big designs on large blocks. I find this kind of frustrating. But, I couldn't justify the cost of one of the bigger machines, as I'm just using it for my own quilts (not going into business).

Using these machines is quite different from quilting on a home sewing machine, but I'm hoping my skill will improve with time. I'd really like to see my pile of quilt tops turn into quilts!

I'm finishing the binding on a baby quilt for one of my friends' new grandbaby, starting the binding on a quilt for a co-worker of my DH who's retiring(DH pieced it and I quilted it) and piecing a cuddle quilt for our pregnant DIL. All this in between customer quilts.

Finished the 142 bargello blocks and excited about the next step in that project. Worked some on the design wall with the bow-tie quilt and restitched two corners on the table runner. . .wouldn't want to be bored working on one project, now would I????LOL Terry

Well, the repair man talked me through the fixing stage, it was the brushes, he put them back the wrong way.
Anyway I was allowed to finish some bindings and started making the magic pillow cases, which meant I had to relearn to use my serger, (it really is a pleasure to use), the magic pillow cases are really easy, once everything is cut six minutes your done. 8)
Today is delivery and pick up day. Lunch with my dmil, and drop off more quilts.
Tomorrow, back to work!!!!!!! :P Have a great sew day!! Debbie
