That's cool! I think I'll have to try it. Great explanation of how you did it, and I like the cording too.

Robin your winning quilt at Paducah this year was stunning. I have just been working on a mini-quilt and really appreciate how you quilted it too. It's difficult to get the scale right isn't it? As for Revolution No.9 - Beatles fan? It is simply splendid. The flow of the design, the colours, everything is just wonderful. I would really love to see some close up photos? Any chance?

Robin, are your applique pieces in the miniature turned-edge? I just looked at the interview again. Kudos to the photographer! I'm fascinated with the miniature applique and would like to know more about the process.

I'm sure Revolution No. 9 will go on to receive great accolades, too!

Sue, the entire quilt is raw-edge applique. Oh, that I could do tiny pieces like that by hand! Something to work towards, I guess.

Thanks, Robin. I freely admit, I'm trying to pick your brain because of a difficulty I had with some 3/16th to 3/8 in circles on my current project. Too late now, they are down, but a bit "fuzzy". I heard you say that you use Ricky Tims' Stable Stuff, but what did you use for a fusible?

I used old style Steam-a-Seam Lite, but I'm afraid it's just old. I now have Misty Fuse for future projects.

Are you willing to share your stitch width and length? Were your hand-dyes tightly woven?

AQS American Quilter July has 85 Quilt Week winners, nice blurbs on our favorite rock star quilters here. There's an article by Sue Nickels on feathers and nice paragraphs by the winners' pictures.
