I "met" my IMQE partner! She is from Rome! Yay!! I loved Rome and Italy. This is one of the things that I love about TQS. Think about it.... I would never have had good friends that live all over the world. Literally, all over the world. We've been friends for several years and most of us have never even met in person. Now I'll have a new friend in Rome! And next year I'll be able to show my quilt and say "my friend Maria in Rome made this for me." Thank you TQS.
Lotti, I'm so going to miss you and your cheeriness. and beautiful pictures. Would you please try to get and post a picture of you and Terrie? And safe travels/moves/work/vacation etc. Remember, we are always here for you! To drive home my point from above.... I was touched by your picture of the lizards. I saw the one I made for you and it made me feel good to know that they make you feel good!
I made another bowl yesterday. I'm getting better at it. I have decided on a baby quilt pattern for my new grandson due June 22. I had another quilt all planned out, but saw this other one and said "that's it!" I need to go buy some light blue background. Lord knows I've got enough scraps to do the rest of it!
I hope to do more quilting. My mom is doing fairly well in her new home and her surgery was very helpful. My husband is going to have his other eye fixed, but we know the drill so it won't be so stressful. So maybe, I can sew instead of being a nurse!
Sounds like everyone is well and happy and busy! Say, has anyone heard from Ritzy? I sure miss her.
If you all decide to do a special forum or facebook page for the IMQE post it here so I can play.
Take care, genevaGeneva

Wel, I did it!! I'll let you know when I get "teamed up".
Lotti, I don't know the details, but I wish you the best in your move/vacation.
Gotta run. We brought Mom to a new facility yesterday and I want to make sure she's okay. Talk soon.

Yeh you're all joining in the swap as well. Smashing!!
I've been allocated a partner now Yippee. She's a quilter from Idaho can't wait to get planning. :cheer:
Eileen sorry to hear you've had to move your mum, talk to you later when you get time. Geneva good to hear your mum is doing fairly well and your other news.
Lucky Terri getting to meet Lotti again, so jealous. I was wondering if you'd moved yet Lotti. You'll be alright with the swap you've got until next May! Bliss compared with Chinese Whisper swap we did where we only had a few weeks to make the quilt and it's smaller.
I reckon we need a thread here. Which forum is most appropriate?

Geneva had it right ! sure has been hot on this thread the last few days ! Everyone has been so busy !
I'll miss somebody if I try to answer all...so...just know I read most if not all...this thread is just super !
I had been dragging my heels and hadn't signed up for IMQE even tho minis are right up my alley....a
lot of US signers right away. Gave in when things looked more promising. Well, got partnered up this
morning....what a surprise! My teammate is none other than Twiglet/Wendy !! What fun! A "Whispering"
"Lounging" MugRugger" and FB friend to boot ! ....How many of you guessed?? from her comment earlier.?
Not many of us TQS folks in Idaho.
Spring took it's time...but really has been nice the last few days. I'll post some pics soon. Area ShopHop was
last week of April and DH enjoys going so we made 2 big loops to shops....great fun to see all the new fabrics
and projects, etc. Really tried to keep the card from singin' too much !! :silly: hmy: Pics there, too.
And finely...all my Rows are d-o-n-e done ! I remember when it all seemed so far in the future ! :woohoo: the
last 2 out in the mail in the morning....only 4 to wait patiently to come to me. Then the real work begins ! :S
Until the next time.....happy quilting all ! B)

I signed up the first day and all the emails about post notifications is way overboard to me! I'm glad we both signed in early. We've been chatting about a month now, I guess.
My partner and I are fast friends and 2 peas-in-a-pod! it would be much easier on a FB group but I doubt that TQS wants it off of here. So many brand new to TQS are joining the swap to get more internationals that were needed earlier. I read that they were still looking for a few US states to be able to say "all 50 states and ?? many countries participated." KWIM?
Geneva, have you figured out a way to turn off the notifications?
Meanwhile, I'm full with quilting for others and really felt like I should make a top/jacket for my mom for mother's day. She is a few states away so I'd need to mail it soon. A lot of stuff came up with volunteer things and helping the in-laws and such for real life and I have lost work time and pleasure time! Just had to pop in here and have relaxing chat!Jules~
