Oh dear you two you know you're going to be looking for this stuff next week and buying it again. Actually I have started sorting my fabric with the intention of giving some away.

Marilyn your felted eggs are gorgeous, so pretty and scream Spring.

I've had an exciting time last week. Terrie and her husband Walter aka original lounge lizard have been over here on holiday. Lorchen (known to most of you) arranged a lunch at Liberties in London and Rosemary and I invited ourselves. We went down on Wednesday and when i went in the restaurant who was sat there?.......our Lotti!!! She'd flown over for the day for lunch from Switzerland.
What a day mug rugs chocolate, fabric and lots of laughs exchanged. Sure Rosemary and Lotti will post their pics but here's some of mine to make you smile

Oh Marilyn - I love love love those eggs - beautiful!
so good that you're getting a new bathroom - yup lots of stress and chaos until it's in - but so so worth it. glad you were safe through all the messy weather conditions.

Geneva - a great purge - that's something that would do many of us good - i cleared out lots when i moved - but - for some reason i seem to accumulate quicker than i use or purge - hmmmmmmmm

wishing everyone a good, safe, happy, healthy and fun week/weekend.
          keep smiling

Marilyn, we did our main bathroom a couple of years ago, so I know what you're going through. Just go with the flow (no pun intended). I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end. Love your woolies! The eggs and all the other projects!
Geneva, I haven't been sewing as long as you, but I have drawers and drawers of fabric that need to go! I know your donations will be put to good use.
What a lunch! Lots of love and laughter at that table, I'm sure. Hope you all got to do some shopping while there.

I'm late posting, but have been cranking out customer quilts, so will post later today.

            Hugs to all,

Hi everyone. Today is my day to post and my actual birthday. I am now on Medicare, woohoo!

That lunch you ladies had looked like so much fun! Wish we could be there.

Just put away a quilt I am working on for #1 I am SICK of it and #2 I have drapery work for about 3 weeks. So that will give me time to change my attitude about it.

take care, Sharon in warm Colorado

Happy Birthday Sharon! I wish I could get on Medicare. Yesterday was my day to post, my half birthday, but I completely forgot!

I've already showed you the 6 bags of stash I am donating. That took awhile to sort through this past month. But I did get to do some sewing. I made 4 bags for my daughters and daughter in loves for Christmas! Yippee for getting them done early!

I used a pattern from Annies. It wasn't easy, but by the fourth one I had the hang of it.

Next week I will go to San Antonio Texas to retreat with with my friend Kathy Saunders at our friend Brenda Papadakis' home. I'm so excited! Kathy, Brenda and I worked together for Kaye England in Indiana in the late 1980's -early 90's. That's when Brenda found the Jane Stickle quilt and Dear Jane was born. I will be working on Christmas quilts for my four children's families. I'm making easy trees, in 3 sizes for lap size quilts. I bought 1 yard cuts of about 12 fabrics. We'll see how they turn out!

Spring is here. The dogwood as bloomed and my zinnias are planted. :cheer:

Hope all is well with you. geneva

Geneva, I really like those bags! Have a great time with your friends. My quilt guild has recently started a Dear Jane group, so Brenda's creation is alive and well.

Between Marilyn's eggs, Geneva's bags and Wendy's lunch photos. . .lots of fun has been happening!!!!

Today is my actual birthday. I've been fortunate to receive sweet wishes from dear friends. It's been a great day! I've spent the last month quilting circles/pebbles on the star patch quilt so although I've been quilting, I don't have much to report regarding quilting!
I did share a previous book club quilt I called "Window Boxes."
I participated in an online workshop regarding sketching/drawing/mixed media/painting techniques. It was an awesome opportunity to practice with tools using techniques I hadn't tried. It was fun. I sampled all 26 of the activities.
Post 1, Post 2, Post 3, Post 4 My goal is to improve my drawing skills and to practice a little every day. A happy surprise is that I found that I like painting with watercolors. I haven't had a watercolor paint set since I was in 4th grade!

I completed the April machine embroidery lesson. Miss J is closer to the finish on her "girl" project and I went fishing

. It was a great month even with no finishes!

Why not do a challenge a day. I joined the Doodlewash one for over a year, you are given a topic/word a day and can share it online with others which helps you gain confidence. It's just a small painting and excuse to get another sketchbook B) https://doodlewash.com/may-2019-art-challenge-a-color-a-day/

                          Terry,
You’ve definitely been having some fun creative time with the family.

                          Wendy,
I just copied off the Doodle Wash’s prompts for May, and I think they’d be great ‘prompts’ for a mug rug challenge,,,,,,

Wendy, I hope you're talking about January for the Doodlewash challenges! I'd have to be a lot more organized in my life before I attempted something like that.
Terry, I hope your birthday was fabulous! I've saved your blog so I can read all about your creativity.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Today, I'm off to Poughkeepsie to start researching my Mom's family. My grandmother was adopted out by her mother to an uncle when she was a child. We know nothing about her father, only her mother who started a whole new family and reentered my grandmother's life when she was an adult. Weird, right? Wish me luck.

Terry, thanks for sharing all your drawing and embroidery work. It's very interesting and I'm giving you a pat on the back for completing them all!

A challenge when the new forum is up and running sounds good. Does anyone know when that will be? Hopefully some of our friends will come back to hang out with us.

Have fun investigating your grandmother Eileen. Life is more interesting than fiction....

                                Happy weekend everyone! geneva
