Rosemary, your tree is marvelous! I love it. The quilting is the perfect addition.

I am off to a thread painting class today. Should be fun. I've been so bogged down by unquilt stuff that I feel like a bump on a log!

My very wonderful news..... We have a new granddaughter! Victorina Rose was born yesterday, weighed in at 7lbs 8oz, 19". We will be going to see her in a week or so. I can't wait. I embroidered the cutest Halloween onesie for her. I'll try to post a picture of Victorina and the onesie tomorrow.

    Have a good Saturday everyone!

Rosemary--the quilting was well worth it. This is a wonderful piece. I like the way the flashes of red look like fruit.

Geneva--Congratulations on the new grand. Hug her for me.

Rosemary - Love the tree, the quilting and especially the story! I do have a memory of sending care packages to Europe while in elementary school in the 1950's.
Geneva - Congratulations - looking forward to a picture of Victorina Rose wearing her Halloween onesie.

                          Congratulations Geneva!!!
We have no power this morning (it's a planned outage) so I can't post a picture of the bag I finally finished it's a mondo bag that my niece picked out at the quilt shop, and I didn't get it finished before our trip.
Dawn..I love the fall here!! It sooo pretty!! We went and picked elderberries yesterday, and were commenting on all the gorgeous colors
It's really dark with no light except my phone :S

No quilting... Well not properly - did 'quilt' two layers of fabric together for the purses...

Made a lens bag for my camera - at the moment it contains most of my camera gear except the monopod and tripod, that is my camera incl. 5 lenses: a 70-200 mm zoom lens, the 2x extender, the 10-22mm wide angle lens, the nifty fifty, the Canon 7D Body with the 15-85mm; the external speed lite flash; the small canon G1X for snaps; extra batteries and memory cards for both cameras; microfiber cleaning sets and a couple of rain ponchos...
The inside divisions are made of 3mm neoprene for extra protection...
Is actually quite comfortable & practical to wear with all this stuff, and the neoprene makes it sturdy but soft so it fits its shape to the need

Used the leftover fabric to make two small purses for my nieces' Christmas presents - now just need to shop for some nice things to put inside for a pair of eleven year olds.
Oh and need to make the closures for all three purses

My little phone, wallet and tissue purse that has gone everywhere with me for almost two years (I seldom wear clothing with pockets and at the office I'm constantly running from one building to the other - we have 4 building - and I always have to have 1 office phone, 1 mobile phone, tissues, badge and keys for the different buildings and offices and a pen with me), is starting to fall apart - so made a replacement with full sized divider and smaller neoprene pocket (for the phones). This time a little larger than the old one

The old (I don't know how many times this has been in thewashing machine - it's certainly well used)

                            And the new:

Love all the bags, Lotti! That cow fabric is so cute! I'm sure your nieces will love them, especially after you fill them with goodies.
