Quilting New Year's Resolutions for 2015???

I persevered and finished the feathered star quilt top today. The outer border was quite a challenge. Actually the whole quilt was a challenge. I only used paper for the center block and the HST's. The rest of the pieces were large enough I decided not to paper piece so I could finish it faster. I'm not sure how much faster as it required some careful piecing, and the occasional use of a seam ripper during the final assembly. It finished at about 43" square. I'm thinking of having it quilted by check. I know, I have a longarm machine but I do mostly computer quilting on it as I've yet to take the time to learn free motion quilting and it would be very time consuming to do this one by computer.

Lovely Annis and I am sure it will look lovely on the wall in your classroom - I think that's where it is intended for is it? Would you not quilt it on your domestic machine?

                Annis,
                It is very nice!

I've been busy working on projects too. No finishes yet, but making progress!

                  Thanks, everyone.

Wendy, the single block is for a different quilt.

Rita, it will be going in my retreat center above the door leading to the store area. My domestic machine is only used for in-the-ditch or simple quilting lines using a walking foot. This one needs more than that.

Annis that is beautiful, I hope you don't mind if I add it to my collection of 'I fancy doing one of these sometime'.

I finished 2 quilt tops so far this year, but forgot to get pictures before they went to my quilter.
So have to wait till I get them back to take pictures and then post them.

Also if you make it half size the triangles would measure 7/8" and the quilt center 15". You could do it, Rosemary!
