Lois, your bionic gear bag was so great, I decided I needed one and I finished the bag. Still have to do the little pouch for the corner. It holds a LOT of stuff.

Love it, Coni! I need to make one, too, but it'll be a while for me.

Nice work, Coni. I used mine all the time. Don't know how I kept track of everything without it. The truth is I didn't. The tool I needed was always at the last place I used it. Now the bag travels wherever I work. Can't believe the time it save. Lois

Coni - your bag is very nice.

I'd just like to clarify - the bag Lois made seemed to have a special printed spot for needles etc. Is this the same bag? This one looks doable, but the one I think was Lois' looked intimidating to make. Or is it just the fabric? If so, did you give the pattern, Lois?

Terrie, There are 2 separate patterns. The Bionic Needle Organizer Wallet is one pattern. It is separate from but fits inside the Bionic Gear Bag. This is the link for the wallet. http://www.craftsy.com/pattern/sewing/accessory/bonus--bionic-needle-organizer-wallet/116170 Both patterns are available on Craftsy.

I love your bags Lois and Coni. I have both patterns but have yet to do anything with them.

Thank you, Lois, for setting me straight. I was intimidated by the needle case, but think I can do the Bionic bag. I thought you had just 'made it up' in your mind, so thanks for the pattern info.

                        Lois,
, thanks for answering Terrie's question. I don't plan on making the needle wallet. I'll put the packs of needles in one of the many pockets. Thanks everyone for the nice comments.

Terrie, The needle wallet is far, far easier construction than the Bionic Bag. The only thing that might be tricky about it is printing out the storage chart on fabric. I just ironed light colored fabric on freezer paper then cut it to copy paper size and put it through the printer. It's all flat sewing. The bag is a bit more challenging.

Here is an excellent video tutorial on how to make the bionic bag I'm not making it but if I was I would certainly watch the video.
There are 4 or 5 parts in the video's to see so don't forget to watch them all.
I have made the needle holder but not the storage part for the packets of needles.
I printed it off just as Lois says without any problems just make sure you iron the freezer paper down securely I cut the fabric just a 1/8" smaller than the paper .
                            Happy sewing

Coni, I love your little bag! And I love all of those zippered compartments! I seldom do zippers these days, but supposedly, there is a "How to" video built right into my new sewing machine, so I can take a quick refresher course! The bag looks like a cool tool to take to retreats or classes!

Lois, where is your bionic bag? Somehow I have missed it.

Here it is again. Now have Gabe's quilt pinned and layered and another secondary project to post soon. I am right on schedule with the big project and I am not getting bored bc I get to work on ones that finish faster in between. Cargo Bag coming soon!

My system of working on a number of projects at once is working well for me. Maybe you'll remember my primary big goal is Gabe's 1st Holy Communion Quilt. As I finished daily or weekly goals on it I have personal permission to work on other easier smaller goals. Since I have last reported I have gotten the entire top on Gabe's quilt permanently machine appliquéd. While accomplishing that I finish my Grand Illusion blocks and shashing segments. I also finished my Bionic Gear Bag.

I love this bag and use it all the time. It holds all the things I need. If I sit in a chair to do a bit of handwork it's by my side. I move from one machine to another often. I do have room to have 2 set up all the time. When I change spots I always have what I need right where I want it. I am ready to go to retreat or a class with less worry regarding packing up.

I wish the pattern were written more efficiently. It was annoying to read through chatter and redundancy when I was looking for specific info. But the pattern is designed wonderfully. All I can say is that if you are going to make it, make sure it's not your first bag.
