What an absolutely brilliant way to spend time with your artistic descendents! I can only hope I live long enough to enjoy something like this with my very young grandbabies. Love each and every one of their faces, both human and imaginary!!

This has been a real struggle for me...not sure if I like it, but it is what it is...

Have the face done and hand sewn on. Now need to quilt. As you can see sewing, painting, outdoor activities depicted by the canoe earrings, playing the flute which is what is on my dress are what have sustained me during this time. I have daisy gardens (my cheeks)and enjoy watching football(my eyes)

I decided to be honest with myself. After a yr 9 months of chemo and radiation, I decided to make my face green......and add a scarf....because that is being true to myself with a little tuft of white showing.....I love to quilt and talk about it and talk about fabric.... sew, here we are again......with not so lovely face.....you all have just done spectacular jobs....truly artists.....God Bless!!!! and get your Mammograms!!

I found this to be a bit of a challenge, since I’m normally pretty true to nature. There will be more added, but I’ll explain some of the picture. I was an avid diver & love the ocean, so I included an underwater scene. The sea glass is found at our local beach in WA - on the beach & earrings. The necklace is coral & shell. I grow orchids - yes, even in WA! And I love to quilt, which used up a couple of my mini blocks. This was a totally fun project, Alex. Thank you!

I finally finished my self portrait. I'm all about music, quilting, and working out. And you can always tell exactly what I am thinking without me saying a word!

This is something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time, so thanks for giving a push. I had fun — the older I get, the more I don’t want to be ordinary. Wearing my hat crooked, my cheap reading glasses are bent (making them crooked), the neckless my 4 yr old granddaughter insists that I wear, I like sun and rain, flowers, butterflies, birds, nutty friends, I have less hair but the selveges that I used are titles of fabrics and wish I were brave enough to really wear those eyebrows and last, Curly from the old old tv show with his humorous sayings. The back of the quilt, I used hankies for my holder of the quilt — an idea from Cindy Needham. Thanks again for the fun

I was told last week by the Admin that usernames cannot be changed after they are set up.

Perhaps when we get the new website up that may change.

This is me - my hair is the tangle of thread I got from prewashing my 2021 BOM fabric.

My Avatar is finally finished. The roses represent my love for flowers, also represented are my love for nature including humming birds, butterflies, and animals which include my doggie Finn. The lace collar is in honor of Ruth Bader Ginsberg for her role in furthering

opportunities for women. The pink ribbon represents being a survivor of two bouts of breast cancer. Thanks Alex for suggesting this creative, fun wall hanging.
