This face represents members of my family. The fish at the bottom reminds me of fishing with Ron, my partner for 30 years who passed away this summer. He was an artist who would have loved my adventure in thinking outside the box. The chili peppers necklace and earrings are for my daughter and her Mexican heritage. Also her new puppy Rolo is represented. The flowers, bees, and Sun Bonnet Sue are for my master Gardner sister who helps me keep plants alive. The numbers on my head reflect my 40 year career in finance.

Everything is done except the binding. This was great fun. Thanks, Alex. (And I really am not a Crazy Cat Lady but I do have three Crazy Cat Grandchildren.)

Here is my finished Avitar. I changed a few elements and quilted the background. I added a inner piping trim and then added the binding. This was definitely a project that took me out of my comfort zone.

My face turned into her own character named Molly (that's what she told me). I had a really rough time with the hair, lips, and then the decorating. It would seem that my stash is less than ideal for this type of project, at least as far as my imagination goes. In any event, I do like the way Molly turned out, although she and I really don't share anything much. This was definitely a brain stretcher. Thanks, Alex, I have loved everything we have done during the Pandemic!

I worked on my face all day!! A really different way to express yourself through fabric. I didnt get to try all the ideas i had so there may be more to come.

You once called me a baseball nut. This proves you were right.

A little late to the party, finally finished my face. Now to quilt it!
This is me reflecting on my family. My house with my dog, quilting and my husband who runs and plays guitar. A house for each daughter and the year they were married. My granddaughter who was born in July and brings such joy. The strip on the bottom represents my life as a hairstylist.
The thumbprint necklace is for my younger Down syndrome sister. She had Alzheimer’s and passed away last year. I wear it everyday in her memory
I will hang this on the door to my sewing room
Thanks Alex for a fun project

I thought I was getting close to quilting but don't know. The hair is from rethreading, basting and unsewing while longarm quilting. Tony the Tiger is because my kids always said that my telling them they are GGGREAT sounded like Tony's. And the quilt sayings because quilting is my small business and passion.

Finally finished. Way outside my comfort zone, but still fun. My avatar wants to remind everyone to show respect for others and wear a mask.
