I am not as good on the Forum as most of you. I have a question about sewing the face quilt that has been fused. Do you put a stabilizer on the back before you do the blanket stitching? I watched Alex explaining how to sew the pieces down, but I didn't hear her say anything about how to prepare for the stitching. I hope this question makes sense and I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe.
        Thanks

NanaSuz, You could do it either way. You could do your blanket stitch with stabilizer, before sandwiching the project. Or you could sandwich the project
and do the blanket stitching, but you won't need stabilizer in that case. In my opinion, it is harder to blanket stitch accurately with the bulk of the batting and backing,
but a lot of people do it. Do you want to see the blanket stitching on the backside. If yes, sandwich it. If no, do it before you sandwich it and use stabilizer.
The stabilizer helps to form the stitch better, and it lays nice and flat. Without it, and not sandwiching you might have the fabric gatheingr up a little causing the
          stitches to be disformed. HelenW

Love the way you used buttons for the necklace. For Quilter150.

I do love Sharon's binding technique. She mentions the washable school glue, and that if it gets on your quilt top, not to worry because it is washable and will wash out. This is wonderful for quilts that will be washed, but my immediate thought is that when making art quilts, those aren't usually washed. Just saying, the small glue tip helps along with a careful hand so as to avoid getting it on the quilt top at all.

I also use a purple glue stick for many applications. The glue dries clear and can be ironed to heat set also.

                  Glue is our friend!

Great challenge for me. Trying to do more whimsical, without over thinking composition. Thanks to all who have posted their photos as they provided inspiration. I'm ready to fuse and quilt.

Helen W., thanks for your reply. I thought that would be the case, but wanted to be sure. Your reply helped me and I would imagine it helped others also.
                          Thanks again.
