    New shows freeze up.

Desktop computer is freezing after only a few minutes of watching the shows. It is also taking a long time to download the shows. I am using google chrome. I start the video, then pause it to wait for it to download enough to watch without interruption. After 5 mins. or so, it freezes. I have to push pause, then play again. It will only play for a minutes or two and then it freezes again. There is plenty of the show downloaded, so that is not the problem. Any suggestions on what to do?

Maybe you need the non-HD version? I watched that this morning with no problems and no waiting. I don't know, just a suggestion.

I am having the same problem for the first time, Cathy. I, too, use Google Chrome. Very frustrating. I will check out Nancy's suggestion.

Turning off HD in both Google Chrome and FireFox seems to eliminate the problem. Thanks, Nancy!

I am just having this problem with the last show--haven't watched the new show yet--and I had tested with the earlier show and had no problems so I don't know what is going on. I could probably go to the non-HD again but the HD sure was pretty!

Thanks for the help. Turning off the HD worked. I didn't even realize it was on. I was able to watch the whole show without any trouble at all. Now I am wondering if I should get a hoola hoop.

I was wondering why I was having a hard time with the last show. I finally finished watching it yesterday without too many stops and starts which were quite irritating to say the least. I generally use Internet Explorer, but also tried Chrome, Safari and Firefox with the same results. Turning off the HD worked for Safari. I haven't tried the others yet. I wonder what needs updated in order to use the HD? My laptop is less than a year old.

As for the hula hoop, I bought one several years ago thinking it would be fun exercise, but haven't taken the time to master it. I remember doing it well as a child but haven't had much success with it yet as an adult. I wonder if Alex and Ricky practiced some before doing it for the show!!

I will not be renewing after 3 years of wonderful videos. Funny I can watch everything but "The Quilt Show" videos after the UPGRADE! Too frustrating!

Annis, I think it's a matter of your Internet service with the ability to watch HD.

Susan, thanks for the response. I thought I had a good internet service, but evidently not. It's going to be even worse at my country home. I only get 2 bars in my preferred place to use the computer. Eventually I will have a desktop computer on the other side of the house where I get 5 bars.

I did a little research on the hula hoop and found out the one I purchased was too small for me. If you get one make sure it's about waist height. For me that would be about 38". The one I have is only about 32". Even the experts can't do it with a too small hoop. I was able to get it to go around a few times before hitting the floor but it was really hard. I've watched several videos showing how it's done so will purchase another hoop soon and give it a try. It sounds like a fun way to exercise.

Thanks Annis. I will have to be sure to measure before I go shopping. Then I will have to find a place to hide it from the grandkids.   They always seem to like Grandma's toys. And they don't understand why I don't let them use my crayons, the ones that are unbroken and still pointed. They have a large box here that are allowed to use. And coloring books too. They just can't use the ones from my sewing room.
